It's not. After reading more into it. It's an important stepping stone into making Linux a serious gaming platform. With SteamOS it gives devs a lightweight and standard distro on which they can work on. It also provides a more streamlined gaming OS like on consoles with little overhead so should use less resources & improve performance somewhat.
Even though SteamOS is going to be free it needs some way to which it can find a wider audience as well as show devs it...
Shocking revelation.... /s
Indeed but no need to call people *brainwashed* ;)
This is highly laughable because not too long ago I saw a COD tv ad with review ratings scattered across the scene. So if they don't matter why use them in the first place?
Well looks like COD will not be upgrading anytime soon.
Fair enough the way its done in GT6 doesn't affect the way the game is played. The fear I have is that pretty much all the big pubs/devs have echoed this practice becoming a norm now. So how far deep the rabbit hole will they go??? Will we soon see every/most in-game items start becoming tied to little MTs with increased grindtime to force/incentive people into paying? The problem is these companies will start to experiment more with these practices and those experiements are going to sta...
I can't believe people are disagreeing with you. SMFH.
I guess people want a future where you pay to buy each weapon, etc after paying full price for the game because even though this implementation doesn't impact on the traditional playstyle it seems that doesn't mean we won't be seeing more adventurous testing in future.
"I hope Driveclub doesn't have any of this BS"
I don't think it will based on the Sony&...
MT in £40/$60 needs to just die. A helping hand should not be needed what is the point of playing the game if you can buy your way past challenges?
"The issue is, will Gran Turismo's progression system be adversely affected by microtransactions? Eurogamer's Martin Robinson has been playing the game and tells me GT6's economy works exactly the same as GT5's, with progression, payouts and car prices very similar"

XB1's magically upscaler.
So does that mean you prefer jaggies then??? I don't understand how you think XB1's is *shaper* the blurriness is clear compared to the PS4.
Am more shock IGN's player shows the difference quite well. You can also see XB1's upscaler at work with the crushed blacks in the night scene where they're scaling the skyscraper.
@thereapersson
"you can keep the games as long as you want, even if your Live subscription lapses?"
Yep that's how I got halo 3/Fable 3 ;) No strings attached.
But really I much prefer Sony's way as you get access to newer games & it's a better incentive for me to buy a yearly sub than only when I need online.
The only way MS can change this is to go with Sony's setup because they are not going t...
@Neonridr
The difference is you get to keep the games forever which is great however it makes it very limited in what they can offer as we have seen. Most games are very old and don't exceed £15 in value.
IMO they should scrap this implementation & move it towards one like IGC where they can offer newer games & for longer periods.
This. The difference is that it doesn't belong in $60 games. If it ends up being P2W which I feel this will lend towards then it's just a bad implementation of the F2P model.
Edit - That's no PvP in this is there? If so it shouldn't be that bad.
Well said.
This sentence here is pure BS & untrue -
"What long-term appeal Warframe has comes from the ongoing levelling and upgrading of your character. Your suit and weapons level up with use, though you'd be hard pressed to notice any practical improvement in their functions."
Try playing on Apollodorus without leveling up any of your weapons with decent mods or warframe & try last at last 15-20 mins.

Well if you have money why not waste it in style :p.... This is super overkill. You don't even get any monitors :(
I do agree the leaning & head tracking has been implemented quite well. Personally I don't see any benefit to these kinect features maybe apart from leaning. To me everything seem more distracting than adding/enhancing the experience. But to each their own.
Credit to Dice for doing a great job with kinect features.
These stories make me sad & angry. Serouisly taking someone's life over a game/console or most material things is beyond stupid.
No surprises there...
Edit - @majiebeast
Completely forgot about that :p. Yep that was surprising indeed ;)
I bet misterx & his followers are behind 15% of that ;) /jk
Really I don't understand why amazon have such a policy in place it's doesn't make too much sense for someone without a product to do a review majority of the time.
All it brings in are trolls who downvote a product for no reason.
@whoyouwit04
"because it will eventually be open to the public"
Not completely you still need to register at ID@Xbox for access because giving just anyone that kind of access is not wise.
Looooool I love how the pastebin link provides no files ( Really pastebin for evidence). If that's not an indication that this is fake then I don't know. If you're going to make claims like this early on you sure as hell better provide some visual evidence.
"winning face-offs"
Lmaoooo it has not won a single one so far.
