They Lied for either sales of PS5's, and lied so they can pad their Franchises with more sales from last gen as well. Straight up dishonest and misleading at best.
Franchise of that Caliber should have been represented openly and honestly without lies and deceit... but sure take all the time you need guys. It will be great no doubt, but why did Sony need to be misleading?
Ask that to all the people who said Series S will hold back Series X, or that 2 years of cross gen games on Xbox will hold back Series X.
They are literally everywhere and almost everyone here said exactly that. So either it will, or it won't. Hold backs and bottlenecks (or lack thereof) aren't platform exclusive.
You might say it was simply a false announcement to generate hype even tho it was NEVER going to release in 2021. They saw an Opportunity to Blame Covid and get people hyped under false pretenses. Much like the "We believe in generations" crap.
They said what would help them look attractive. I'm not saying Xbox is doing better on the games front, (they definitely aren't) but at least MS was honest and transparent about their plans.

It plays SOOOO nice on PS5 and series X. Almost feels like a new game.
Has a great recreation of Racoon city PD, Nemesis has Zombies that assist when you play as killer, and Leon and Jill are Playable survivors. Leon can craft Flash Grenades with one of his perks.

To be fair, there isnt any real NEW reasons to own a PS5 till June, and Microsoft told people they could have stuck with last gen for the 1st Year or so. New hardware is for fans who want it. No such thing as good or bad or die hard failure until more releases either succeed or flop.

Does that really even matter when gens get shorter and shorter? Or mid gen refreshes happen? Sony fans have some of their fave franchises cross gen after bashing cross gen explicitly. Cuz Sony lied to everyone. And 180'd their launch year or two's plans. Don't explain anything to me cuz good devs will make a game look great on any hardware.
