Yeah.. I have said the same thing time and time again. And Just like PS fans think MS fans are blind or are too trusting, MS fan felt the same way about PS fans last gen..
So it's a crapshoot, and we'll just have to see how it goes... I think if people really were meant to care so much about how many of whatever console sell, then they should be going out and BUYING consoles for the less fortunate.. Arguing who or what is better doesn't help us as gamers.. Now a rich douch...
Exactly!!! This is all spot on! Nice Read man!!!
TBH..I said something somewhat similar in a post about gaming having a Renaissance time in the history of gaming..
I had a jerk tell me that all I was just saying "I hate sony" when he missed the whole point of what I was saying.
I was saying even though we all knew graphically speaking, that: Snes>Sega, N64>PS1 GCN,XBOX>PS2, and most typically, XB360>PS3 and Now, PC>PS4>XB1 that the differenc...
Power of the cloud?
Lol, so I guess you're trying to say a bad joke about how (since it's a tv show) that the Xb1 netflix and hulu are only possible on xb1 because of the cloud?
Lol
Codewow is correct...
what a sad attempt at trolling...
Don't you know by now that to effectively Troll, you need to attack every shred of the xbox fanbases' existence? Even un-related/irrelevant things like tv shows using "the Cloud" to stream them...
@hicken,
He's probably here for the same reason Sony fans are in XB1 articles.. for NO GOOD REASON lol
if Microsoft play their cards right, I think they will be able to top anything Sony has to offer except for maybe uncharted 4... if e3 isnt that great then I will have to get into a ps4 as well.. But, For instance, if the order 1886 is all graphics and no real substance then Microsoft only has one game to beat and that's uncharted 4. I got tired of God of War after Chains of Olympus.. I have played planetside 2 and it's a broken game That means nothing to me personally. so unless it g...
No harm done. That's why that was my only real conflict with what you said. :)
I agree with most of this post, but I think that you're forgetting one simple thing.
Xbox and Nintendo gamers aren't really gonna benefit from this version of TLOU as much as you think.. They will likely benefit from this more if they play it on PS Now when it's released.
Ps Now enables players to play the game WITHOUT having to own a PS3 OR a PS4. They can use a bravia tv (if they have one) with a PS3 controller, which for those specific people who have a bravia t...
Umm, yeah, I don't think that's really why.. Especially when people can just till PS now is out, and play it WITHOUT even owning a Sony console.
That said, This PS4 version is going to be the best version by far.
If E3 isn't big, then Xbox one has little chance of gaining ground, I would hope it does, seeing as I love the Xbox brand primarily, but at the same time, I also know when to pull out of a sinking ship, and if E3 isn't big, or Next year's line-up isn't gonna impress, then I'm going to have to Support Sony more. Just Common sense.
Or I may just continue to upgrade my PC.. ugghh there's just not enough hope for us poor folk.
I actually played many playstation games and didn't miss out on a thing. I also have a PS1 emulator on my phone, and play crash bandicoot, FF7, Tomba, Dino Crisis, and Ehrgiez, all the time.
I beat Shadow of The Colossus, and FFX, and Kingdom Hearts on my Ps2 once a year (sometimes more)
I just don't see a point in owning a PS3 is all.
If you go look at my comment here on the news here on n4g, thread about the last of us remastered, I reccomend a fellow gamer t...
I actually really enjoy Halo 4 multi player. It's easier to escape, survive, and to be lethal in this game compared to 3. Reach was just Phenomenal, and 4 improved many of the things Reach did. The only thing I think 4 did wrong was having so many customizations that were not very noticeable or should have just been part of the player's base attributes... I liked how reach did something new with the armor abilities, and 4 had even more of them, but it's the EXTRA stuff like resis...
32 bit revolution?
Just to be stomped graphically by a 64 bit system like the n64 less than a year later?
Funny, the most revolutionary thing I can think of that the PS1 did was using discs. But that change to discs also brought the dawn of having dirty lenses, or bad disk drives, and even Scratched game disks them selves... so even THAT is not all it's cracked up to be... I have a cousin who bought like 3 playstation 1s just because of the disk drives going bad. And I NEV...
@gjruk Don't get a PS3, the best games are likely gonna come to PS now, and with how much a PS3 costs, you might as well pay an extra 100-150 bucks for a PS4.
As a PS3 owner in the past, Until I played Uncharted 2, and The Last of Us, I didn't hardly touch my PS3. The PS3's exclusives haven't really been worth much IMO. The Last of Us is probably the only reason left to get a PS3, and now, it's coming to PS4, upgraded to boot, so just get a PS4 already.
@ The Saint-
Install base doesn't strictly mean more games... and it definitely doesn't mean the games will be "better".
I mean it's all about preference. And it's all about a whole bunch of factors.
Here's an example.. I didn't even touch my PS3 for the first two years it was out except when I rented Resistance, Lair, and Heavenly Sword.
None of those games are "Better" than anything, and it wasn't until MGS4 cam...
Dude. Just no.
Draw distance is what make a game world look big, three-dimensional, and full.
If you look at an older example of good draw distance, look at the half life 2.
If you want to say that those effects that make the world seem alive are only gonna be worth it if you are playing a game at 60+ frames per second, then you have no hope in understanding how graphics work.
Having higher frames may effect how easy it is to react to things, but it's not a...
^This. I agree that people choose to put there fanboy glasses on whenever they want to, and then act like Oz, the great and powerful. And they pretend to be libraries of gaming development knowledge. But if it's what they "WANT" to see, then they take everything that ever happens at face value...
Don't be silly, having the FPS higher doesn't make you be able to see things from farther away.. it's the draw distance, and post processing, and things like anti aliasing, and the sharpness of the image itself, not how many frames. FPS will help your game runs SMOOTHER, but not help you see FARTHER or with more detail...
LMFAO
I don't think anybody expects the PS4 to fall behind. It won't.
That's not what most XB1 fans are saying, and you know that.
You said something that existed in YOUR head, which is why it is part of your comment.
XB1 fans (97 percent of them, based on what I see them saying)are purely and SIMPLY hoping that the statements are true. Whether they are or aren't is not really the issue, it's the way XB1 fans are being treated just for HOPING it might be ...
People have the right to hope dude. That's like "My Parents are richer than yours, and yours have no hope or chance of accumulating more wealth, and for you to even THINK the things they are trying to do are gonna help, makes you Poor AND Stupid."
Geez, sounds like a bunch of kindergarten bullies who haven't grown up!
I'm not here to say that any of us people REALLY, TRULY, have any clue what performance numbers are gonna be changed, or ...
Honestly, Xbox fans aren't really doing a damn thing in these (and all DX12 comments sections) besides saying,
"Who Knows?"
"I Hope So"
"That would be sweet"
"We'll see IF and how Much it helps"
"I think this could really be possible"
"AMD and Nvidia seem to feel the tech is going a real, existing benefit, whether on the PC side, or MORE, it's neat to consider the possibiliti...
