I adjusted the brightness, contrast, and saturation in the display settings and the end result meant the quality of the picture looked fantastic. I wonder if the PS3 version is more 'uncompressed' than the Xbox 360 version, because to me the textures of the PS3 edition look better (not saying the Xbox's are too shabby either).

I can understand how the R* devs feel. They put so much effort into making GTA IV best game of the year material, and then people just shamelessly download it from BitTorrent trackers, it isn't right.

Support R* please and don't download it.

No, no, no. 'Clinical' means the Xbox 360 will have more stark (look it up) colours compared to the PS3 version. Apparently the colours of the PS3 look more warmer, therefore I believe it will look more realistic.

PSN: WelshKatana
MGO: welshkatana

Haven't played anything MGS since I rented Sons of Liberty for the PS2 a few years ago, and omg I thought that was an awesome game.

Hope to see you all online :P

In my opinion, the way Microsoft pushed so hard for the extra content deal with Rockstar is an act of desperation in order to maintain their user base in 2008/2009. Yes, GTA IV is shaping up to be a worthwhile (if not huge) game for PS3 owners but unlike the starving Xbox 360 community that so far in 2008 have been treated to a range of lackluster titles (which is set to continue until 2009 and beyond, with the exception of Gears 2), PS3 owners and Sony have the upper-hand as far as software ...

The information in that 'article' was a complete waste of time.

Although I'm a PS3 fan, I'm both versions will look equally as good thanks to R* being good, thoughtful devs (unlike *cough* EA).

I just went down to my local Asda (thanks for the advice mighty_douche) because I couldn't stand to wait for the PSN to update any longer.

Install from the BD took about 10mins, and my update is still downloading (20% - just under 10mins O_o).

Look forward to racing with you all, my ID is 'WelshKatana' if you want to add me =]

P.S. - GT5:Prologue cost £19.71 at my Asda =/

Realeasing a 'prologue' of GT5 is a fantastic idea. It not only builds up hype towards the game and staves the tide of rabid gamers, but also allows Polyphony to tweak features such as the online mode, before the full game release in order to give us the best possible game they can make.

...these games are such a waste of time, money, and developer power.

Apparently this game was due for release on the PSN Store (EU) today, however I don't see any sign of it. Really gutted.

I downloaded GT Concept HD 2.0 a few days ago, and even though it only contained one track and ten cars, I was completely mesmerised.

Yay for GT5:Prologue (whenever it comes on the EU PSN Store).

"I own a 360 for its amazing graphics."

-What amazing graphics?

i'm the same, downloading it is tempting, but then again I like to have the physical media. I think the download is out on the 27th March whilst the actual BluRay disc is out 28th in the shops, so an early release on the PSN might swing it for me :)

Omg I hope so, fell in love with it after seeing it on Top Gear.

Completely agree with this article. M$ is f***ed for a whole myriad of reason other that GTA IV, although it's a start. E.g - FFXIII can't wait to see the sales figures of the PS3 when that's released.

Personally, I don't care about damage modeling because i'll be racing properly, and not taking hairpin bends at 200mph. Like other people have said, if I wanted to wreck cars i'd play Burnout.
However I wouldn't complain if they added it in the final version.

Thanks for reading.

I think Microsoft are spoiling gaming for non Xbox 360 owners due to them splashing their money around, trying to acquire every game studio in sight. If I were the CEO of Rockstar, I would have told M$ 'please go f*** yourself, because we want to provide the same great experience for everybody'.

However, no. This is the real world and of course money does matter.
But it's a nice kick in the face for M$ that Rockstar are developing a PS3-Exclusive franchise.

If in the final game the graphics are like the '05 tech demo (probably improved now since we're in 2008), don't you think an Xbox 360 would melt trying to run it? Similarly, there wouldn't be a hope in hell of a Wii/360 running Final Fantasy XIII for example.

Besides, maybe this game genre doesn't quite appeal to the 360 demographic?

Thanks for reading, much love.

I have a PS3 and i'm getting SC for it, love the whole dark side thing it's got going on, but so badly want to play as Yoda. The little green dude is just awesome!

Fingers crossed they make the extra characters DLC :-)

say if sony kept the same design of cell and used a beefed up version in the ps4 (5GHz+), and developers got amazingly good at developing for the current cell, wouldn't that mean we would get wickedly good ps4 launch titles and so on.

just wondering really.
thanks :)
