Gotta say, I did develop a crush with Soma. That girl be fiiiine. I don't know about HD releases, but if they had a PS2 channel on the PSN like they do with the PSOne game rchives, that'd be enough for me.
As Japanese as warm sake doused on the head of a young child in a school uniform wrapped in sushi on a bamboo board.
Err, something tells me they are starting on a PC build and porting over from there. Most indie devs do that as it's the least expensive. They then try and garner investments to move it to the Xbox 360 (which is far simpler) and the Ps3 (which takes a little more cash), and there you have it.
To say that Unreal produces poor PC builds.... I have no idea what to say to that. Console games also do a lot of bug fixing even after release.
Phantom Crash was a great game that didn't get hardly the amount of respect it deserved. I'd love to see the concept art for this game. I love the architecture as well!
Yeah, seeing as how we're only 9 months in and things like framerate issues and graphical hiccups are left until the tail-end of core development. I really hope there's a beta!
Great job! I sort of felt it was going this way. BioWare doesn't make the best sequels, and they like to move towards a more mainstream than original approach for their second go-arounds.
The guy sounds amazing. I am glad that more relatively-unknown get a chance to flex their acting chops. I just don't think they still get as much respect as those in the Hollywood arena. Nich and guys like Nolan North, for example, can out-act a lot of those out there with their multi-million dollar paychecks.
Gotta read the story, boy!
Don't be dissing Cruisin USA. I LOVE Cruisin USA!
It'd be worth a try at the very least, though I am very much looking forward to a proper Contra next-gen release ala Shadow Complex or something.
Great review! Very much looking forward to playing it!
With the story and soundtrack, NieR quickly became one of my favorite games of all time!
Agreed. I was this close to including Kefka's theme during his boss fight. If anything, that's my #10. It's one my favorite Final Fantasy games, but it was more the characters and story for that one.
That's just the thing, though. I thought some of these types of games had a good overall soundtrack, but nothing that really stood out for me in particular. For ambiance, fantastic. For songs that touched me personally, not so much. That's why a lot of these games are of the older generation because they impacted me growing up.
If it makes you feel any better, just outside the list was Diablo 2's "Tristram Village".
Thankfully, they're saying there will be a re-release of both 1 and 2 on the PSN hopefully right when 3rd Birthday comes here.
I don't know how convinced I am over FFXIII-2 -- they say they want to make it darker, but FFXIII already had a pretty dark story. Versus XIII, on the other hand, looks like a nice step for the series. Is it weird that I am starting to care far less about the series as a whole these days?
The graphics look much improved, like running Project64 or something. I will always love this game, no matter the platform.
The PW64 challenges always got me and my friends competing with each other. Pretty damn difficult trying to hit the center of those targets...
Daaaaamn, that's some funny stuff!
