Hah, what the hell was I thinking? I must still be half asleep. Of course you can use mods. I guess I meant to say that it would have been a great way to reinvigorate the modding community to focus on this game again if Square had modified the game to work on today's hardware. Seeing conversion mods would be fantastic, but so many modders were bogged down by the atrocious porting job by Eidos.
I loved the PC version, but if it is only on Steam, the fact that you can't install these mods makes me wonder of its appeal.
How constructive of you.
TERA definitely has a monthly subscription. Almost certain Blade and Soul will not be F2P. Considering the fact that both it and ArcheAge are being created with these giant budgets, I would say they would also be P2P. The fact that so many of these online games are moving to a F2P format however leads me to believe that these publishers are leaving the options on the table, possible going the Guild Wars route where you pay the full price for the boxed copy and have an item shop in-game.
Rather unfortunate if you ask me. If the 360 version doesn't look as good, just be upfront and honest about it. I think gamers are well aware of the fact that the 360 is using a last-gen storage format as someone mentioned above. You don't really think that a game using the PS3 as the lead platform should always equate the 360 in technical performance, do you? This is why a one-console future is a good thing.
The guy demoing the game promised a lot of different and unique puzzles to keep fans happy. =)
I have not played Tomb Raider since Tomb Raider 2, and even I was really awestruck by what I witnessed. You'd have to see the second part of the demo not shown at the press conferences to know what I mean.
Reported: bad attempt at a pun.
One of my real regrets is not being able to see the demo for this game, or at best getting my hands on a demo. Looks good.
So, we can probably expect a ton of slow pop-in textures and oversaturated environments. Nice.
Feel really apathetic for Peter Molyneux after he knew he made such a big mistake by only showing a rails situation.
Call me skeptic. The fact that they are making a sequel to an already mixed bag amongst fans means they are hoping that they will put enough faith in Squenix to make up for what was a polarizing experience. Something tells me the sales will be half what FFXIII was, especially since not many people completed or even bought the original.
That's what I said about War in the North.
It is a pretty big leap, but both benefit on their unique elements. I am sure you will enjoy it!
I got attacked by a giant fire breathing dragon, launched into another room, and proceeded to get gored by a boar. It. Is. Difficult.
There is still an impressive level of detail to be found. Plus, the developers want to license out their engine for others to use on their games, so it won't be the last time we see the RED Engine.
Hnnnnnngggggg was my first impression.
"Look at the plants." was one of the first things Todd Howard said, and I agree.
I never really trust demos, especially in a Duke game. It's the overall experience that makes it all worthwhile.
It's a fantastic game and well worth the time. It's a little slow to begin with but picks up pretty rapidly later on.
Both, and throw in the Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Why bother deciding?
