I'd imagine his boss does, since these kind of predictions are what he's paid to do.
I'd love to get his job and pull numbers out of my ass. I'd actually love to see the data and logic he uses at official meetings and such to support his predictions, I'm sure I could look at last years figures and make a prediction lol.
Yeah but Consider that MW2 has been out for a long time now, it's already made the majority of it's lifetime sales whereas BFBC2 is much more recent.
It does deserve to be up there I agree, it's just not an impressive achievement because of that.
Looking forward to seeing some of Gears 3. Based on past games I'm assuming we can expect this to be releasing before Xmas this year, which is awesome.
The 360 has no God of War in the same way the PS3 has no Halo (despite KZ2 being awesome incarnate imo).
The trailer looked really good but in the end it'll just be another pretender to the throne.
There is always an element of people that somehow manage to screw up updating their machines. Human error is more likely than the FW update causing machines to brick.
They included that line like the firmware causes problems with your PS3 even if you don't install it. Sony themselves even warned you wouldn't be able to do anything if you don't install it lol. It wasn't even worth including in the article lol.
I still need to install the update myself but I'm not a muppet that tries to do something with my PS3 whilst updating firmware. I hope these people are never allowed anywhere near a BIOS update!!
Was the narrative. It gave a lot of info on the game, most of it I didn't know to be honest.
The gameplay looks very very promising as does the plot and entire story.
The only thing I am left wondering is whether or not they can get close to the quality of the story, characters, voice acting and overall quality shown in Uncharted 2. If it even gets close it'll be an awesome game and I for one certainly plan on finding out how it does when it's released because this t...
Yeah, mandatory updates tend to have that effect.
Someone should really school these people.
Then I read the article to understand his opinion. I have to say I can't really understand it at all. So just because a game is not multi-platform, it is incapable of redefining a genre?
I'm sorry but I simply don't buy that at all. Platform exclusivity may hurt sales, it may hurt potential marketing push but one thing I wouldn't agree with is how much success it can have in possibly redefining a genre.
Now personally I think Uncharted 2 does redefine the Action/Adv...
Yeah the iPad really should have just been a version of OSX but on a tablet device. The fact that all it is, is a large iPod Touch with a couple of extra features is why it will never appeal to me.
Something like this HP Slate though, that might one day appeal to me.
Online gaming isn't effected, you can still play. The maintenance is just for the store and account management, things nobody on any service pays to access.
It'd be nice but it could end up kinda messy. You can save favourites in the browser and access them after launching it, I've got a bunch on there but I rarely ever use it these days.
Buy a PS3!!!!
No reason not to, apart from finance of course.
The iPlayer uses the browser alright. When you exit the thing it asks you if you are sure you want to close the browser. The icon on the XMB is just a shortcut that launches the browser and takes you to the PS3 iPlayer page.
I have to say I don't bother using the browser on my PS3 apart from the BBC iPlayer which is pretty awesome on my 40 inch TV. I used to go to streaming sites to watch some TV shows also which worked pretty damn well imo.
Regular web browsing though it is nowhere as good as simply using my laptop.
However with better implementation, browsing on a console and large HDTV would be awesome and would be a fantastic feature.
I feared that HR wouldn't do so well in sales because of the type of game it is but I'm glad to see it has done so well because it really is a very very good game, even if it is different.
Well done Quantic Dream and Sony.
3D TV's and a good pair of glasses are going to be very expensive at launch I think, that's always the price you pay to be an early adopter of newly released tech.
I am in no way ready to be shelling out for a 3D TV for a few years myself but when the price of them start to drop, I'm all over it.
Unless hardcore games work well on it I'm honestly not that interested.
How surprising!
Means I'm gonna have a s***load of fun next April lol
