It's funny, the person that disagrees with your statement wants to have no control over the games they buy, no rental options, forced Kinect spying on them, no trading games with friends, loss of playing their games if internet goes out, and is either too dumb or to casual to actually understand what M$ is doing to them...
Hahaha, have fun with that, us actual gamers will be playing a real gaming system that doesn't try to rape us for money at every turn. When you fee...
Ahh, you hit another exact point. The XBone has a 500GB HD that is not removable. Newer games are going to easily hit the 20 - 30GB storage requirements. So you're looking at 25 games probably. That's if you don't have other things like Music, Movies, T.V. shows, apps or anything else eating up space. Or you could just do the smart thing right out of the gate and buy the PS4 to avoid all the BS that M$ creating.
Do you honestly think you or anyone else will get any straight answers ever? It's not going to happen for a very simple fact. The XBone reveal was a disaster, so bad in fact they disabled comments on their Youtube page and denied the press time for asking questions after their E3 spot. Any information they have is going to be bad news for true gamers, especially since their system is aimed at the casual audience. So they'll remain tight lipped and hope that the damage hasn't compl...
I agree, there's just not meat on these details. It's like telling you you're going to be in a terrible accident and your car is going to be totaled, but lucky for you it's not going to catch on fire and you'll still be able to walk afterwards. Although you're going to be hurt badly, but on your feet thankfully. So great job there M$, thanks for giving us pretty much nothing attached to a complete wreck. Thanks, but I think I'll stick with Sony only this time aroun...
Microsoft seemingly doesn't announce some good news...!
There's absolutely nothing there worth mentioning, the news isn't good news, it's just not terrible news. M$ has sealed their fate, they are gearing their system to a casual audience and hoping the hardcore just follows with. I could easily look over a system that has less power then the PS4, I can look over the yearly subscription fee, I can even (Although not easily) look over losing the compatibility o...
Who cares at this point? If you're a true gamer, just get the PS4. Any statements M$ releases is going to be confusing so they can avoid the truth. But it's pretty obvious that they're after every single $ they can get.

Well, now that Sony confirmed they will have a used game policy to match the PS3, I'm thinking that EA is doing exactly like you said. Either way, I'm excited for the future of gaming with Sony only. As is I have the 360 and PS3, but in the future it's solely the PS4.
I honestly spend more time on my 360, but Sony has great exclusives like Uncharted and Infamous. Uncharted has to be the greatest exclusive of the current generation. Do...
Too late MS. I'm done for sure. I'm already working on converting any of my friends to a Sony only platform. I have a 360 and PS3 now, with the 360 taking most of the time. But regardless of the DRM and restrictions, there's still the ridiculous Kinect camera and Mic which is forced. Forced 24hr check-in which automatically rules out a decent number of gamers. MS' sole focus on the casual market has turned me away forever. The arrogance they exude will destroy them in this are...

You obviously can't see beyond the present day. So let me clear this up... You can not buy and trade games like you do today. The absolute smallest issue will be time. Every traded or sold game will need to be confirmed, thus meaning the store employees need to access an online database and unregister each game. This means longer lines and more time spent just standing there. But more importantly is the pricing. This whole DRM and licensing is to make ...
Well Muerte, I agree with some things you said, but EA did cancel their online passes, so I imagine there is going to be something similar with Sony. I hope to god I'm wrong, but EA and Activision are huge with both consoles, so there is something up those publishers sleeves.
I'm already to the point of avoiding the next Microsoft console, I'm hoping Sony doesn't screw with the current formula to much though. These Devs and Pubs are all saying that they expect...
Wow Dedicated... You are so full of incorrect information that I don't know where to start. Gamestop and other resellers make their largest profits from used games, that is a very well known fact. New games benefit the devs and pubs whereas Gamestop only gets a small percentage of the actual profit.
So you really should do some more research or just not talk about something that you have no knowledge of. The DRM Microsoft is pushing will hurt Gamestop, Gamefly, Redbox and...
Really? The big named devs hungry for their piece of pie was surprising or unexpected? The Indie devs seemed happy to you. You better prepare to grab your ankles again.
No people really are pissed off at the console, not just the reveal. No renting or trading games, forced installs, forced Kinect, creepy always on camera and mic, non removable HD, etc.
Nope, it's the box and policies we're pissed about.
This has got to be fake or paid for by M$. I couldn't find a blockbuster around my state if you paid me. I thought this was a joke at first, now I know it is LOL.
I can't believe how many people just don't care or are too blissfully unaware to understand the implications.
Honestly, I truly enjoy my 360 and PS3. Although I spend more time on my 360, I think Sonys exclusives have always been better. That being said...
I'm not a fanboy of either system, I like games period. But M$ really F'd this up. I'm solely going to be Sony this next time around. Well solely between M$ and Sony anyways. You'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind to miss all the BS that Microsoft is shoveling. Even if you take care of the whole used game issue, what...
So basically, you fully support large corporations ripping you a new ONE, just to squeeze every dollar they can out of you? Are you a gamer at all, do you think renting and borrowing games are stupid and should be blocked? Do you think M$'s new patent which seems to be an invasion of your private life through Kinect cameras and mics, sounds like fun? Do you think people who don't have an internet connection don't deserve to enjoy games?
Why do you think these thin...
Very well said @PirateThom...
This is an issue that gamers, all gamers should want to avoid. Regardless of whether you're a M$ or Sony fan. The DRM, not allowing you to trade games w/ friends, used game fee, no more renting games, Kinect watching and listening to you in your sleep. All of these are issues you should be pissed about when it's your gaming machine on the line.
I have a 360 and PS3, but there's never been a better time to go exclusive...
You missed my point. I made 100k the year I was laid off. I could easily afford the console and games at that time. But the economy is beyond my control. So I already had everything purchased, that's not a small group of people either. 1000s of people have lost homes, cars and possessions because they were on top of the world one minute, then the economy sinks.
That's not just me. Hell it's happened to me 3 times in a few years, and that's in 3 completely diff...
It's hard not to have the upper hand in this. M$ has literally destroyed a long time fan base. I have both the 360 and PS3, I spend more time on my 360 currently though. In the future, I'm not even touching the Xbox. I know many are doing this same exact thing. Seriously what exclusives does M$ have that would require me to have the Xbox? Halo is not that good any more, Gears of War is a good game, but I don't play online, so owning the system to play through the campaign is not e...
