So it's going to be customizable like the 360 was with the changeable face plates? That lasted all of a minute before companies stopped making them. I really liked being able to change out my face plates to add a little change to the look, so I don't see whatever they have planned, lasting to long.
Microsoft: "Hey AMD, yeah retract that statement or were going with your competitor."
AMD: "Okay, we'll figure out a way to backtrack our statement, but in such a way where were not reversing what we said like you guys do."
Microsoft: "Yeah whatevs, just do it."
@ReDeMpTiOn
I agree with you, MS does not deserve kudos for their changes. They made those changes because the pre-orders were suffering and the fact that long time consumers were abandoning their ship. Not because it was what gamers preferred. I understand that companies need to be profitable, but the changes they were going to implement was out of greed, nothing more. The extreme back lash was just an early insight of what they would face had changes not been made.
...
Gamestop said they aren't taking any more preorders as of a month ago. So I highly doubt this story is true in any way.
Ohh hell yeah, the good ol' vote. It wasn't my first online game or first online shooter, but it was the first decent online console shooter.
I always thought the grenade throwing was ridiculous for the shear distance you could toss them, but it added another element to the game.
Do you have any links, because I've been looking for something like that.
Yeah the fact that my Triton AX Pros for my 360 are worthless on the XBone, are just one reason I'm not getting it. The days of spending several hundred dollars on headsets is over if this is what they're going to do.
God I hope it's like Socom 1. That was by far the best of the series until cheating came along.
Socom 1 was by far, the best until a year into the game and cheating became mainstay. I hope this is close to that game rather then the newer ones, just w/ updated graphics.
Wish they could get map rights, I would love to play Desert Glory again.
Yes, but did you understand the nuances of her opinionated article that had more hyperbole than actual intelligence?
Regardless of her final words in the article, she still made other points within. Not to mention, she compares games and specific elements that don't match up and takes way to much time to get her thoughts out.
I'd like to see a more well rounded M4A1 and the M16 as always. The burst fire M15 is one of my favorite guns in any shooter.
So the author (female) is basically complaining about the male lead character. She literally wrote too long of an article to get her point across. Then compares zombies and post apocalyptic times to games that have nothing to do with either.
Oh how wonderful, I can now jump between T.V./Music/Movies/FB while gaming. Just what I wanted while in a heated battle in COD.
And what motion control system is so cool that it's a must have? Sorry, the people of the world are getting fatter, the last thing people want to do is flail around when gaming. I already work out, so gaming is sit and relax time. You can't compare online gaming and motion controls, they are 2 different things.
In all honesty, it's not Major Nelsons fault. He has to say or withhold whatever he's told. The sole responsibility falls on the M$ execs that say what goes. Now who's to say they don't backtrack on their change of hearts once people purchase their Xbones.
Wow you're ignorant. Gamestop is the largest distributor of consoles and games in North America. Not by a short amount either. Also considering they requested to push support for Sony and pull back orders of the Xbone, shows why M$ had something else to help influence their policy changes.
You really just spout off dumb $h!t that you have no actual knowledge of.
Wait a second... Has anyone thought to bring up the fake @$$ story off the Xbone claiming the #1 spot on Amazon? It's funny because why would they decide to change their DRM policy, drop the price to $399, remove 24hr check-in if their presales were soooooo good on Amazon?
Just goes to show that M$ will pay off/threaten companies to get the news to bend their way.
Hell yeah PS4 rules. The Kinect alone will keep people away. I have both systems currently, but only the PS4 this next generation.
Every single Xbone feature alone is enough to keep me away, so them changing the DRM, 24hr check-in, used game policy and now the price drop to $399 are just them scrambling to keep from losing too much ground. But the forced Kinect is still enough to make me steer clear.
@HaloChampian
I didn't mean you could trade/resale steam games. I meant playing offline. You don't have to have a connection once the game is installed. M$ could easily have kept that feature.
I will admit that it's a cool feature, but I'd rather not have it and keep my used games buy/trade/borrow/lend abilities. Although M$ has taken that feature out, I can only assume that the 10 people listed were locked in once activated. So although it...
Funny, because Bungie wanted to be separated from M$ as well. I think that is a common factor. I'd love to hear what Cliffy B has to say since he said M$' new restrictions were the future. I guess that douche-bag just has to wait for the future now.
Honestly, M$ has been so cocky and avoiding so much, that I believe a ton of the damage is going to hit them regardless. I know I'm going Sony only this time around. Although the reversal M$ has done is better, I'm...
If you weren't going to buy it anyways, do you need any other reasons lol? That statement makes no sense at all. I do prefer my 360 controller over my PS3, but I still feel 100% comfortable holding a PS3 controller. They're both good controllers, just different. As for me basing my purchase of a system on a controller, I own a Dreamcast and feel completely fine using those controllers, and they are complete garbage, especially compared to todays standards. But I would have missed out ...
