i can't wait til 5-10 years from now when these same people are complaining that such and such has ruined one of their favorite franchise by changing what made the franchise popular in the first place.

COD doesn't have to do anything, it's not the one chasing the crown and constantly mentioning it's competetion to garner more interest in its game.

RPG of the year. Game has great combat gameplay, very important in a game you plan on spending a good amount of time in. Demo has me sold.

As he said, you are picking how it looks over how it plays. BF3/KZ3 looks great but plays no where near as fast and fluid as any current cod game.
It's fine that a slower pace gameplay is great for you, how is it not great that others like something faster?

The fans of COD could care less about "cutting edge" graphics, most want dedicated servers, better hit detection, better matchmaking and better spawns.

sad part about DS2 was that it should have been a co-op horde mode with all the creatures including the bosses, but instead they went with a terrible unbalanced verses mode...
not every gamer is as weak minded as you set us out to seem. The only "gamers" that would do so would be the hardcore which at this point in gaming consists of far fewer numbers than the casuals that would simply find something else to spend their time and money on.
Even those that only buy new would lessen the number of titles they bought. It's insane that pubs/devs think their profit will go up with this business model.
