Destructoid is a blog, so no, I do not receive news from them. I read their reviews and articles because they usually have more honest opinions than most reviewers (them and GameCritics) and they also have info on smaller, indie games that doesn't show up on places like N4G.

By calling it a BETA, Sony/Guerrilla is implying the game is not gold (which it is) and they will use bug reports to fix the game up, before getting it gold.
Looking for things to patch is not a Beta, that is a demo. They can test server stability through a demo also, that does not make it a Beta.
