When they re-branded themselves to Square-Enix, they practically ruined each other (squaresoft and enix). If they're re-branding themselves again, let's hope it has the opposite effect. Hopefully a re-branding comes with a new company direction.

Wtf are you talking about? People buy PS2 games and play them on emulators. Why? Because they can hook up their PC to a huge TV and play those games at 1080p running at 60fps WITH a PS2 controller...or whatever controller they want to use. Nothing illegal there since they own the games. My friend does this and all of the PS2 games he owns look amazing. In fact, they look just as good, if not better, than these "remastered" games on the PS3.

Not really. If you're playing a PS2 game at 1080p running at 60fps, it'll play differently. For one, everything is clearer and you'll notice more fine detail than you could before. Also, at 60fps, the game runs a lot smoother and the controls can be less frustrating.

I've pumped in a lot of hours into this game. My only complaint is that there is no end game content. Once you get the fancy weapons and armor, there's nothing else to do. There are only like 3-4 bosses and those battles are over before you know it. Hopefully we get some epic boss battles and some new areas, like snowy or cloud area.
I hope it's the start of an entirely new story ark. New protagonist, new antagonist, new setting, etc.
Also, didn't Mavericks sell bad? I remember reading that they planned on remaking more of the X games in this style, but the first one sold so bad that the projects were canceled. I REALLY hope this isn't some sort of test.

Yep. Their games are much better than the trash Xseed puts out...at least lately. Sure in the past they put out some great stuff, but now, the onle game they've published worth mentioning are the Ys games.

There is frustrating difficult where the game is just broken and difficulty that depends on actual skill. I'd rather play a difficult game that relies on skill.
Because why get a PSP when I'll eventually want to buy Vita games? All the PSP games I want are on the PSN store.
Only time will tell, I suppose. I'm sure it'll get some great game, but if Nintendo can't release them soon enough, it might suffer the same fate as the 3DS.
