@FatOldMan
3DO was $700
Neo Geo was $600 + $250 per game
PS3 was also $600 but $60 per game

Sounds like the PS3..though that seems to be doing MUCH better than it was back then.
I hope so...my eyes can't take it.
@Squatch83
Are you seriously THAT big of a fanboy? The reason people are ONLY mentioning the DS is because this is the successor of the 3DS. We know what to expect from Nintendo based on the re-releases they did for the DS and all of their other systems as well.
Nobody here mentioned Sony because this has absolutely nothing to do with Sony. Geez, lol.
Yep. We should all wait 3-4 years before buying one then.
Exactly. Although Nintendo is losing money on each 3DS sale, they'll make it back with all of the games, especially the first party games coming out.
A lot of gamers are blind to this fact and think it's only right for Nintendo get charge insanely high prices for outdated tech. I'm looking forward to buying a 3DS and the new price is great for me. Now instead of spending $250 to get a 3DS, I can spend $250 on a 3DS along with 2-3 used games.
3DS has no games
I'm sure Steam isn't entirely innocent, but I would just rather have all my PC games either on my shelf or on Steam.
Thanks for the information, captain obvious, but I'm saving money with this price drop.
Definitely a great game. I'd play it if I wasn't playing another MMO right now.
I'd rather have Nintendo lose money than me lose money whenever I decide to buy a 3DS.
You can use the client without an internet connection, so it's never a problem. Also, Steam mentioned that we would be able to keep our games if Steam ever goes under.
I understand that we never really own digital content, but Origins just takes it too far.
Anyway, the same sort of applies to consoles. Get caught doing something you aren't supposed to and your account gets permanently banned. Of course there are ways around that...just like there ar...
Not to mention that this is the same company that suspends your EA account if you talk bad about them on their site. With your account suspended, you won't be able to play your EA games (the latest ones, anyway) if you connect online.
The reason I refuse to give Origins a chance is because:
1) Their sales are nowhere near as good and frequent as Steam. You'd think since profit go to EA 100%, we'd see more sales since those are all THEIR games.
2) If you don't play your games for 2 years, you have to rebuy them. I'm a casual gamer and there are a ton of games I buy off Steam, but never play right away...I'll play them months after I buy them at times. Or I'll play t...
Just when I was going to buy it...almost done with DA:O. Guess EA just saved me some money since I won't be buying it now, lol.
I hope it gets released for iOS today! :)
I'll be getting Uncharted 3, but I'm not nearly as excited about it as I was about Uncharted 1 and 2. It seems like more of the same thing with some tweaks here and there. I'll get Uncharted 3, but definitely not for $60. I'll wait till it drops down to like $30....maybe I can find it used somewhere. I don't mind waiting a few months.
It would have actually been fun
Yeah, but when are those games coming out again? Most of them don't even have a release date. Star Fox isn't all that great either and that Shin Megami game is already out for the DS with the sequel being released soon.
And unfortunately, what firelogic mentioned is true. Those are, for the most part, old games most gamers have already played. Nothing to get too excited about.
Hopefully something good.
