FFXIII took linearity to a whole new level. I literally felt like I was running through a really long corridor through most of the game. I keep coming back to it because the battle system is fun and I still have some stuff to do, but I wish the entire game was as open as the field in chapter 11.
What does being exclusive have to do with that? There are Gamecube, PS2, hell, even GBA games that were more entertaining than FFXIII (including other FF games on those consoles). The problem with FFXIII was that SE decided that animations, story, and emotions were more important than gameplay. I remember a while ago they were talking about that stuff in FFXIII as if it were their main focus.
Being an exclusive would not have changed anything. All it would have added MAYBE we...
We'll probably expect another Yakuza game, or maybe even Valkyria Chronicles 3, but then up with Sonic Party and Sonic Kart.
I totally agree. I was anticipating the first game for years. Didn't realize how ugly it actually was till I played it. Now, as to why in the hell Level 5 didn't wait an extra year or two to make an amazing engine and end this series with a bang is beyond me.
However, until we see actual gameplay footage, comparison screens mean nothing and don't display the 3DS's power at all. I'll hold my judgement till I get to try it out. Hopefully the Nintendo Store will let people try it out soon. I'm hoping they'll have kioks out by the Fall.
I think having a partnership with Youtube lets you break the 10 minute limit.
I don't think Insomniac has a say in it. Since Sony owns the IP, isn't it up to them if it gets released or not?
Plenty of times, companies release things, knowing something is wrong, but hoping that people will either dismiss it or just not realize what the problem is. The 360 with it's RRoD is one example. Microsoft were well aware of the issues, but released it anyway hoping it wouldn't be a big deal. Nintendo put that 3D slider into the 3DS for a damn good reason; so that people can still play games without the 3D effects. Plus, you can't play in 3D for too long or it'll start to str...
Because Castlevania is a well established series that's been around for years and Dead Nation is just a random generic Zombie game made by small company. I doubt it's exclusive. I'm sure it'll be out on the PS3 after the Summer is over. It's probably exclusive for the 360 for that Summer of Arcade they have going on.
Ehhh, they were pretty similar to Twilight Princess. Only difference being that they're tweaked and more precise. It's not like they showed anything mind blowing.
Don't get me wrong...I'm getting it and am looking forward to the game, but nowhere near as excited as I was for Twlight Princess or Wind Waker. Yes, I know there was a trailer, but that trailer was very brief and didn't show anything exciting if you ask me.
Though honestly, Bioshock didn't need a sequel to begin with. If they insisted on making a sequel, it should have been a proper sequel and improved on every aspect of the first one, rather than try to retain everything it had going for it and not improving or adding things as they should have.
When the last two true console Zelda games were revealed (Wind Waker and Twilight Princes) we got epic trailers and showcased awesome things. Wind Waker showed us the amazing and vast gameplay of Wind Waker along with great combat. The Twilight Princess trailer was just all around outstanding. The graphics were great, design was interesting, and the combat was improved. When they showed off Zelda: Skyward Sword...they were just playing a random part of the game and the controls kept giving th...
Capcom hasn't released their 10 in development Street Fighter IV sequels.
If you want to use a 360 game as a graphical epicness example, use Mass Effect 2. Even Splinter Cell Conviction looks better than Gears 2.
In the first one, Cole was so much more...gritty. In this game, he gives off a heroic Nathan Drake kind of personality. You're right though, not enough has been shown to make that kind of judgment, but this is all we have to go with at the moment. I don't have a problem with the new Cole; in fact, he seems a LOT better than the Cole from the first InFamous.
Holy crap that was amazing! This is what a sequel should be! Everything is improved. The combat is much better, the powers look cooler, and the transition between sliding/grinding to running/walking is much better. Also, characters models seem to have had a huge improvement (they were crappy in the first game, especially their hair).
My only problem is that Cole is a totally different person...he looks, sounds, and acts completely different, yet this is supposed to be a complete seque...
He made me think I'd be able to play this on my PS3 in 2010 T_T
The reason it isn't called Parasite Eve 3 is because Eve isn't in this game and it would be misleading to call it Parasite Eve 3. Square Enix already stated that this is a main entry in the series and they're planning on releasing more games in the franchise. I guess whether they do or not depends on 3rd Birthdays sales.
I can't see myself paying so much for digital content, lol.
Because you can sell them for a lot more than Gamestop gives you.
