The real competition doesn't come from just an impressive hardware, but from the line up of games offered. The 3DS has the most popular franchises already being developed for it; that's part of the reason why most people are looking forward to it. If Sony announces the PSP 2 along with great games then they dont have much to worry about.
Zelda is a franchise that would go well with good voice acting. Link can remain voiceless, but other characters and narrators need voice actors! =)
It'll probably boss rushes, co-op matches, death matches, etc.
And LittleBigPlanet 2 is getting keyboard along with mouse support.
I know the feeling...I've played through that game so many times already; it's really good =)
I doubt people will want to play part two of a game when they haven't even gotten to play the first. Also, not releasing this on the PS3 is bad since in order to experience the franchise, PS3 owners have to dish out $60 on a brand new copy rather than pay a few bucks to try this game out on PSN. Oh well, It's Capcom's loss - not mine, lol.
I hope not because hard drives can be totally unreliable in the most random of ways.
Heh, yeah, but FFXIV is a major game so I can't blame them. The graphics look amazing for an MMO and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to play. Then again, this is Square Enix we're talking about; their word is NEVER solid. Whenever they say they won't do something, we can expect them to pretend they never said that.
We all know it's coming.
Even though Final Fantasy games changed, they always retained a few things that made them Final Fantasy games; exploration, moogles, towns (lol), airships (at least all of the ones I played), tons of interactions, variety of side missions (the only side missions in FFXIII were fighting monsters), and they usually had good endings. The ending for FFXIII was "eh" to me. I feel like it ended at the climax of the ending. They better release a sequel that continues the story and fixes th...
Halo and Kinect target two different audiences. Advertising them together would imply that you could use Kinect on Halo, which in turn, would cause consumers to sue them for false advertisement.
It's not appropriate at all.
Trinity Universe uses character models and look good in HD. That's the last console game they worked on. Last Rebellion doesn't count since all they did was help the devs make it rather than develop it from the themselves. For people wonder about Cross Edge....NIS didn't develop that game at all. Compile Hearts did. NISA published it in the US since nobody else would and Compile Hearts used NIS characters so I guess it only made sense for them being the devs wanting to localize it...
Disgaea 3, as stated by NIS previously, was supposed to be a PS2 game; which is why it looks the way it does. Disgaea 4 is a game built from the ground up for the PS3. I just hope they retain the charm the Disgaea series has and use either high res pixels (similar to how that Street Fighter game on PSN/XBLA was made; it was created using pixels, but they were so high res and kept that charm from the original).
I also hope to see some sort of network play. I want to be able t...
This is exactly why I refuse to get into the Tales series; because I know if I start enjoying them, I'll want to play more of them, but these douches refuse to release most of the games in the franchise outside of Japan so I'll be missing out on a lot.
Carlos Santana would be perfect and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a Bon Jovi game. Linkin Park's older songs would be pretty cool, too.
Nothing new HAS to be added. Though additional missions and full 3D cut-scenes would be a nice addition.
You know, with a creative enough team, this game could have been different enough to set itself away from Pokemon. Things that could have changed could be:
Elemental attributes of the montsers. Rather than using traditional water, fire, grass, electric, etc, something new could have been used. Maybe breaking them down into species, like dinosaur, bird, amphibian, dragon, reptile, etc, then coming up with weaknesses from there.
A combo system

Wow sounds great! I hope NISA brings the US and does it soon. Though knowing them, they'll definitely localize it and bring it over here by Summer or Fall 2011.
I don't have a 360, but Alan Wake looks like an amazing game. Well....if Shadow Complex counts as an action adventure then I'd pick that over any game any day >_>
