The only reason why someone woulnd't buy ports for the switch it's because they already owned it on the Wii U, and that's understandable. But if Nintendo wants to seel those ports like hotcakes the got to provide the DLC included and more new content.

OK that is something to be concerned, I mean this is a DEMO....a demo it's a sample of what the game is or what it has, in order words a demo it's a presentation card of the game...and if those things happen...first impressions are important believe it or not.
If Nintedo wants to make Splatoon competitive as an eSport then they just have to market it the hell out of it and provide constant updates, such as more weapons and more maps, more character customization, and maybe a new single player campaign and I can asure you Splatoon will be a BIG hit for Nintendo in the Esport....and if they can do that with Smash every EVO then it's a GG already.
Nope and chances are it won't until PS5 if there will be one. BTW i'm not saying Playstation is doom and gloom I'm just sating the trend that will follow since any person with an average intellect will mostly buy a better product if their budget is up to it..
Well that's great! I mean if they can port their games that can run on a ps4 then that's a good sign that NS it's a solid console for good games.
That might be true, of course I cannot say for certain but looking at it's quite possible this could be the best ergonomic controller ever, after all this seems so similar to the Xbox One controller that was inspired something similar(better) to the Gamecube Controller.

If you have read or heard the RUmors from Emily Rogers and Eurogamer then I can understand why you are not impressed, I mean you saw this coming in a way. Like you said...not impressed but also no dissapointed neither and so far the masses have a positive view on the NS, other thing that might not ring your bells it's probably the lack of information. I beliece that January or Febuary next yeat they will enter in detail for what the console will bring to the table and b that I mean game...
Oh well whatver I dont mind that, after all the point of the NS its to be a home console on-the-go, that is all I'm expecting along with a good launch lineup and powerful enough to be at the same level of the Ps4 or Xbox one.
They must have a good launch line-up of games. Zelda already is in so that a good first step, that mario seems new but I doubt it will be on say one, most likely this will be for the holidays 2017...3rd party ports, ok that's good...good enough considering that it will be the take it on the go edition so that's the plus side. The splatoon and Mario Kart 8 seems like Wii U ports and that's ok cause they are adding new features, such as new caharactes in the MK8 and more hairstyles ...
