Splatoon had about like 40% of the console install base...of course I do know that the Wii U just sold 13.5 million units worldwide but that like 5.4 million sold for a new IP, so yeah suck on that.
thing is Nintendo themselves said that their goal for the first month is to sell 2 million units, wich they have completed around %75 of the goal. If they achive it then it's been succesful for them of course.
Not to mention the ones that sold on the Wii U, which I know it's probably lower than the Switch but if you add up thopse copies then yep, it has sold pretty good actually.

Horizon it's a fantastic game for sure, I don't deny it and definitely a must buy for the ps4 owners it but Zelda is a Masterpiece, it's a legacy there is no point of comaparison.

I don't see them struggling. They had a good start, now they just need to provide more games and just by checking their library games on their way I say they will be just fine....key word FINE.
