The packaging isn’t going to say just $20 more, is going to say $99.99. The diehard fans are going to cause that initial surge but after a while, they’re going to see a massive drop off when compared to the GTA five buys.
These are video games, not food. Most will stay on GTA V until the price comes down. Rockstar will have a surge initially but then it’ll trickle out due to the high price and they’re gonna be forced to lower the cost as they see GTA VI missing milestones.
Damn, I even forgot the horizon zero dawn remaster in 2024. This IP needs to be shelved ASAP.

Also, I failed to mention the gorilla games Horizon monster Hunter game coming out. It’s just too much too soon. I don’t even think horizons their biggest money maker. It feels like there’s an agenda that was being pushed.

It’s looking like from now on, outside of a few stragglers, next level graphics will only come from the previous generation in not the current one. That being said once the PS4 gets dropped (which I don’t believe will happen until mid gen PS6) we should start seeing next gen PS5 games.
I’ve never had a disk get cracked due to the spindle hub lol.. 99.9% is due to miss handling. Scratches can be buffed out so that’s a non-issue. Blu-rays and UHD have better protections than CD/DVD so not sure what kind of point you’re trying to make.

Most games about this generation are lower than $30. Small dev shops still have passion to make good games.
