Honestly I feel that this is good for gt5 in terms of sales. I mean this game is going to be huge but some how I felt that it wasn't getting the attention that was needed and pre-orders being a little lower than expected. I think gt5 just needed a little umph like a MOH Taliban kind of umph to get people talking about gt5. I just came from pre-ordering this game and then I see this article. I think it's more of a marketing strategy so people will be more aware that it's coming out.

Yea Reach, COD and Kinect will push a lot of hardware in the US for 360. GT5, COD and move will push hardware for the ps3, especially GT5 worldwide.
Even with out multiplatform I think cod has a chance to outsell reach on the 360 alone.
Edit: Same thing with the ps3 version of cod outselling Killzone.
I think only in America will Kinect compete with GT5 but world wide GT5 is going to be bigger than we think.

As a PS fan I have to agree with you. You said "I really can't begin to understand how all of you work" but you do because if it's not on our system then we will knock it but that's not entirely true. I for one never really cared too much for the wii, I thought about getting one but the games didn't cut it for me. I played the demo and thought it was good but not better than U2. To me it felt like Enslaved was trying to be too much like Uncharted with explosions every 5 seconds. Plus the climbing mechanics didn't feel as tight to me but the story seems interesting so I will be trying it out.

I would just go with the 99 bundle plus an extra move controller and two navs and just get the two extra controllers at a later date. You both wont get to play at the same time with two moves but at least you'll have them to see what it's like.
At first I had no plans on purchasing move but after it's launch I really had thoughts of buying one. Ping Pong just looks fun to me plus it would be cool to play with me sis when she comes for the holidays.
I think right now you'll be ok, I just think from here on out the PS3 will get the superior version of every multi-platform game and that's in terms of graphics and the controls. It's just going to boil down to the exclusives of the Wii. I don't think you should sell your Wii but if you had to choose between buying the two I would definitely go with the PS3.

You can go to walmart and play the demo for gt5 it's the smoothest graphics I've ever seen for a racer, it looks good.
I went to Walmart today and they had the demo for gt5 up. The game looked damn good and ran smooth like butter.
Seriously every year MS has some kind of strategy to sell a lot of consoles. I'm a Sony fan but I have to admit MS is out hustling Sony. Like the time when they had Rockband exclusive for one month or all the bundles they put out really pushed their hardware.
