I'm not saying a lot of people don't want Kinect but I think MS is really keeping it tight. I mean If I were them I would do the same thing, if you want anything to sell like the wii you have to give them that impression that it's the must have product and it's really hard to get. I personally think they did a near perfect job marketing it, giving out Kinects during the Jimmy Fallon show etc. People do want the Kinect but this "shortage" is all part of the strategy. ...
Ms always seems to find a way a push a lot of consoles during the fall/winter season. I think slim, halo, fable, cheaper price and gamers love for xbox live for the reason it sells so well In America.

That's exactly what I was thinking but I would say announce the date before COD so that those 100 of thousands of gamers who pick up COD will pre-order GT5. That's why I say tomorrow would be a smart time to announce a date.

I know achievements were out since day one but I love Trophies, I love the sound they make when I get them!
Basically the same thing that happen with the Wii and motion controls Sony wants that to happen with 3d. Only this time Sony has been helping push 3d gaming since day one.
Preorders for gt5 are higher in other countries though, especially before the delay gt5 was in the top 10 for UK.

I had a theory that Sony would announce the date for gt5 sometime after Kinect launch but before COD launches. That way when those thousands of gamers that pick up COD they will preorder GT5.
Yea Sony pushed all their games to 2011 and I'm definitely looking forward to Infamous the most but can we not start the "this is the year of the ps3" stuff.
I think you have to give MS credit at least in America, they're simply out hustling Sony. Every year they always have some really good strategies to sell consoles, whether we like how they do it or not, they get it done.
With this kind of talk, longer development cylcles and them cutting on the number of players for MP I hope this means they will really beef up the graphics.
I would say this is as plan, wasn't it Sony that said don't expect a big launch sales for move? Instead it will sell well over the next 6 months. 300,000 maybe low for America but to have a total of more than 1 million is impressive.
I have to agree with you, I don't really care too much for Kinect but the people who are hating on it haven't even tried it. This video looks suspicious, why wouldn't he turn the wheel to show us if the video is fake or not?
