You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but please don't claim that I said things I never said. I did not say that Galaxy was the only good Mario game since 64. Not even close. I also didn't say that 3D World or NSMBU were more original than sunshine.
On that subject, I personally don't think a hovering ability is a revolutionary addition to the series. If you disagree, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to di...
There are some issues that Sunshine definitely fixed. The objectives were given a bit more clearly, the camera was better, and the hover feature made things more accessible. However, there were other issues it introduced. Keeping to the Tropical theme so closely limited the visual diversity in the game, blue coins were just a hassle, and the hover pack made platforming a bit too easy for veterans. Sunshine is a very underrated game, but I liked Mario 64 far more.
The games were pretty close for me, but ultimately I enjoyed the package of NSMBU and Luigi U better. As much as I liked 3D World, it didn't fully satisfy my urge for 3D Mario or 2D Mario. It's a compromise that isn't quite as pick up and play as 2D Mario, without the exploration of 3D Mario.
That's not to say I didn't really enjoy 3D World, because I enjoyed it quite a lot. I also happen to think NSMBU is pretty underrated. Easily the best level des...
Did you read beyond the title? It seems like you're reacting to what you expect the article to say, and not what it actually says.
Nintendo does not have to be the lead platform. Getting multiplatform games would be an improvement. If the hardware is similar to XBox One and PS4 enough to make porting relatively easy, that'd be a step up.
A $175 Wii U would fly off the shelves... but it would also put Nintendo deep in the red. And it would fragment their software base. Not a good choice imo.
And then Nintendo announces their next system. I'm wrong a lot, so it's nice to be validated. Of course, they may not release it until 2017, but at least I'd be right in them not waiting for a new console cycle.
2016 is still a possibility. Typically, it goes announcement @ E3, launch lineup next E3, then launch that November. But, with Nintendo relying more on directs and less on E3, I could see an announcement in January, and a launch in November. This woul...
Pilotwings was really underrated. Would have been 11 if I did a top 20. It was overpriced at 40 bucks, but if you can get it for $20 or less it's an absolute steal.
Different folks are different, but personally I never had any problems with my hand.
I have to disagree with that. The touchscreen offers a level of precision that is simply not possible with an analog stick. The camera controls definitely take some getting used to, but I feel like they're far superior to analog controls. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that the next Call of Duty switches to touch screen controls, but in this particular game, analog controls just wouldn't have worked.

As the author, allow me to say this. I am 100% on a hunt for clicks. As you pointed out, getting clicks is the only reason why my editor would keep me on or give me money. With that being said, you can try to get quality clicks or cheap clicks.
Cheap clicks often means an outrageously negative article meant to get a rise out of enraged fanboys. While I admit I have posted some of these in the past, I try to avoid these and post articles that can pr...
*Sigh* I humbly ask that people read the article before commenting. I did put a fair amount of effort into it, and as far as I can tell, few of the commenters (1 that I can see Klecser) has read beyond the head line.
Most people are trapped into the mentality that there is a zero sum game between smart phones and handhelds, and that the success of smart phones has to come at the expense of handhelds. This is not the case, and both markets can thrive. In fact, I believe the...
The consoles at launch will offer nearly identical lineups. Dead Rising 3, Forza, Ryse, and Fighter Within for the XBox One. Killzone, Drive Club, and Knack for the PS4. Any other game is either available on both or available on the PS360.
Both companies have been a bit coy regarding their lineups for the future. We know about Halo, Sunset Overdrive, and Quantum Break for the One with a few others. For the PS4, we know about the Order and Infamous Second Son. Other than...
Lol. At a certain point you come to expect that 90% of people are not going to read past the headline besides commenting. Thanks for being part of the 10% :)
The budget for Yakuza 1/2 was about 21 million, but that was on the PS2. Couldn't find a budget for 3. Clearly we're not talking the budget of the original Shenmue series, but it's still a fairly hefty investment for a series that has been MIA for over a decade. That isn't taking into account marketing costs. If Shenmue 3 were to succeed it would require a big marketing push and Sega would need to port the original 2 games to the Wii U. It would be expensive. Not Shenmue...
Uhhhhh... you do realize that there have already been two (three if you want to count Recoded) games in the franchise that have been exclusive to Nintendo consoles? In particular, Dream Drop was pretty important to the franchise.
The problem with Shenmue III is that if they wanted to do it right, it would require a much higher budget than either Bayonetta 2, or Sonic The Lost World. Shenmue 3 would be a huge investment, and I'm not sure if the payout would warrant the investment. From a business perspective, I'm not sure it would make sense. From a gamer's perspective, it would be amazing if this happened.
People complain that the Wii U has no exclusives... Wii U gets an exclusive... people are upset. Go figure.
Anyways, I'd imagine that Sega producing exclusives for Nintendo in exchange for the use of the Mario license for the olympic games. Considering the Olympic games are Sega's biggest franchise these days (for better or for worse) I'd say it's a good deal for them. Either that or Nintendo is going to kick in some money for funding/marketing which means ...
Marvel Zeus and GOW Zeus are two different characters with different abilities based on the same source.
The end.
In general, I do believe that review scores are fairly good indicators of overall quality. Most of my favorite games actually do tend to be among the higher rated ones. There are exceptions, but usually I find that aggregated critic scores are a fair indication of quality.
But what exactly do you mean actual quality? Your opinion? My opinion? Neither of those are anywhere close to objective. It's better to take the opinion of 20 or so reviewers than implanting my ow...
First, explain to me why any content on my game cartridge should be blocked.
Next, explain to me why the only way to unlock that content on my cartridge should require me to buy 10 dollars worth of plastic.
After that, explain to me why these pieces of plastic that are required to play content that is already on my cartridge should be produced in limited quantities, so that only a certain amount of players with the game can play the content regardless of thei...
