The majority of the players I encounter on Xbox One don't know how to play. I'd argue, some don't even know that 'RB' is used to spot, which would explain why squad leaders don't know how to lead. (FYI: I am awful at this game. Haha!)
I wouldn't entirely blame the player either, as the game seems to lack any solid in-game tutorial for multiplayer that eases new Battlefield players into the game.
The Secret of Monkey Island is a wonderful game! Extremely witty writing, and the new, hand-drawn graphics are delightful. A bonus goes to also being able to switch between the new and original graphics.
A must download for anyone this November. :)
Would Nintendo re-envision the Switch if nobody bought it? Nintendo didn't release a slimmer and sleeker gamepad for the Wii U.
The article cites examples of systems that sold well before receiving new entries and sequels. Would the same thing happen if the system didn't sell well?...
I'm not sure the author thought this one through, but I see where he is coming from. Maybe it would make sense to rewrite this piece as 'why I am going to ho...
I feel the article is a little skewed in some of its examples.
Certainly, I don't see how Xenoblade Chronicles X owes its open world and scale to Skyrim when it follows the same open-world template of its predecessor which released a year before Skyrim. These are examples of two RPGs that are vastly different from one another.
Skyrim was a very influential games, but I feel the article is generalizing in exactly 'how' it influenced video games...
They certainly seem like a good example, although I haven't received one yet. (I have only played around 5 online matches).
One thing I will say is that I'm not too fond of randomized rewards to begin with; whether they are cosmetic or mechanical. Earning something that doesn't pertain to some kind of task or challenge can be a double edged sword.
In one instance, you could have had an extremely challenging but rewarding game, or completed an ...
Cool! I have always been curious about this series but never had the chance to try it out. This seems like a great opportunity!
I look forward to hearing more about it. I hope the presentation highlights the launch line-up. Breath of the Wild definitely has me interested!
The 3DS is such a wonderful system. It has a terrific library of video games. :)
Sound played an important role in this trailer. That's evident by the Switch logo snap and the console sounds being so high in the mix. The sliding of the controller, the clicking sounds when they're attached and the click of the cartridge being inserted are all important. People respond well to the sound of buttons clicked. (hence why there are hours of videos on Youtube of people just pressing buttons into a mic). Anything details like that are effective in making a memorable traile...
+ and - are likely start and select. At least, that's what Nintendo established with the Wii and Wii U.
I agree with you, but in their defense, this video seemed more like a demonstration of the system's concept rather than a complete unveiling of the software line-up.
Right now, I do agree. Mario and Zelda both look wonderful though.
If anything, I think showcasing Skyrim isn't that much of a positive sign.
Skyrim Special Edition is an upgraded version of Skyrim that introduced mods to consoles similar to Fallout 4, but it's still a game that was initially released 5 years ago.
I get flashbacks to the Wii U launch line-up which had 3rd party games primarily consisting of ports that had been released prior on other systems (Batman Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed 3, Mass Eff...
I like the concept, but I will have to see more games first. The glimpse of the new Mario game looked excellent.
The trailer did a great job at explaining the concept, so now I'm eager to see what I can play on it. :)
I think it's a vicious cycle. What ends up happening is that a gimped version of the game is released on a Nintendo system or it has previously been released over a year ago.
The perfect example is when Mass Effect 3 was ported to the Wii U. Of course nobody bought it when the Mass Effect Trilogy Collection was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 around the same time. :(
I hope everyone, regardless of platform has a chance to play this game, so I feel it should be released on the PC too!
It has a very charming art style! I am going to add this to my wishlist.
That's sad to hear. :( Hopefully everyone previously employed there will find it easy getting new jobs!
I really want to get that Mercy skin! Hopefully I get lucky in a loot box or I can save up the credits before November 1st. :)
FIFA and Call of Duty are the biggest video game titles in Europe and the UK.
There are plenty of people in Europe who may buy one or two other games, but primarily own an Xbox One/ PS4 so they can play the new FIFA and Call of Duty games (GTA is very big too).
Gears of War is a franchise with wide appeal too, but it does not have the cultural impact that FIFA, and football (soccer) in general has on people in Europe. FIFA will stay high in the charts for...
I hope the portable series that appeared on 3DS like Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright, Fire Emblem, Pokemon and Monster Hunter continue on Switch. :) I love playing them during lunch in work.
