That's a very good list of games. :)

For me, the place to go for traditional and non-traditional JRPGS would be the 3DS and Vita though.

I would love to see Black Canary as a playable character. Can't wait to see more of this game. :)

Everyone likes different types of games.

There are those who love the high quality production values and film-like gameplay of the Uncharted series, and there are those who prefer something more involved and complex.

Game of the Year will differ from person to person. When it comes to publicized awards, it's not a matter of picking the 'definitively best game' that year (which is impossible, if you ask me), it's choosing one of many games ...

Hi @Sparta07 without giving anything away, what was disappointing about Dishonored 2?

@Opinionated

Phew. That's a relief. I am really looking forward to playing it but I am preoccupied with my backlog. (Yakuza 3 and Apollo Justice atm). I'll be picking Dishonored 2 up on Xbox One.

If it's even a fraction as well designed as the first game, the game design nerd in me is going to have an early Christmas. :)

I haven't played it yet, but is Dishonored 2 really not game of the year material?

The first game was incredible. Some of the best level design in its genre.

The list makes me realize that I have been primarily playing games from past years this year. There are still many from this year I want to try!

I have played some fun games this year but I think the one that stands out the most so far is Fire Emblem Fates (I played Birthright). So much in one little cartridge. Really, really fun.

I say I understand why people are bothered by it, but I also completely understand people who don't mind at all too. :)

Like you mentioned, the skins have no effect on the gameplay, and the core game loop stands on its own without them. For me, personally, I think it's wasted potential and could have been an opportunity to enhance the game loop by adding in-game challenges that encourage good game-play. For example, a skin for Hanzo that encouraged players to play t...

Do they? I understand Rockstar is a subsidiary of Take-Two but the responsibility of the (extremely successful) franchise seems to be primarily on Rockstar. They are, after all the developers and publishers of the GTA titles. (Take-Two do not publish the GTA games).

Regardless of who owns the IP, Rockstar's involvement through game design, game development and marketing are why the series are great. Take-Two's role in this has been putting games on store shelves. ...

I can understand why people are bothered by it.
I know the skins are only cosmetic and do not affect matches but I dont like how Blizzard have handled the addition of new skins post launch.

They invent artificial rarity based on randomization and arbitrary goals such as playing a completely different game to reward the player.

I wish unlocking skins was based on in-game challenges. It would give owning a particular skin meaning.

I think you misunderstand T2s role in GTA. They are the distributors. Their responsibility in the development process of GTA V (and all Gtas since 3) was distributing the game to digital and physical store shelves. No game design, development, nor marketing. Just the distribution.

It's not weird for me. It's just an activity to pass time while I eat. Sometimes I play table-tennis with my coworkers, sometimes I read but I also like to play my 3DS. Mainly anything I can play with just the stylus like Phoenix Wright or Professor Layton. Something to do while I eat, particularly if I work on the late shift when no one else is around.

Why would you find it weird? How is it any different from reading, for example?

That's a very handsome list of games!

I don't own one, personally but you can tell just by reading up on the library that it is a hugely underrated system.

Portability is more than a gimmick for me, personally. It's quite useful as I like playing games during my lunch hour in work.

Are you interested in the Nintendo Switch?

Sorry, I should have specified. I mean the light switch. :|

The Nintendo Switch of course, haha. :)

It sounds like Nintendo and NVIDIA have built a great relationship. That's great to hear. I can't wait to play the Switch. :)

I look forward to digging into it. I had a quick glance over some of the new features yesterday. Perhaps I just need to change my language settings but Cortana doesn't appear to work in Ireland yet.

The graphics and animations are terrific! I also love the character designs.

I can't wait to try this one out!
