it isn't the same at all without Itagaki leading it. even Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, which was supposed to just be a port of Ninja Gaiden 2, suffered from horrible weapon and enemy balancing, as well as an incredibly uneven difficulty that was a lot easier than past NG games. not to mention most of the missions in the online mode were forgettable, and only about five are worth coming back to.
i've played Ninja Gaiden, Black, Sigma, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Sigma 2, and i can eas...
i'd be fine with Link remaining silent. Dragon Quest VIII had the main character remain silent while the rest of the game had VAs, and it worked out fine.
build a new combat system from the ground up, and make it feel like i'm fighting actual physical enemies and not paper cutouts of them.
you do realize i have Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 as proof of my statement, right?
of course i know that wasn't gameplay, genius. that doesn't take away from the amazing things that ND has been able to achieve with the PS3's hardware.
i know gameplay is far more important than graphics, but damn...i can't help but be impressed with how Naughty Dog handles the Playstation 3 hardware. they've really shown that all you need is a good team, some dedication, and support from Sony, and you have a breathtaking visual treat.
i actually downloaded this earlier today. my first character was a thief/assassin, and i got my lockpicking to 100 fair and square. but my new character is a Warrior type with no lockpicking skills, and it was annoying as hell messing with Expert and Master lcoks with the limited supply of lockpicks i kept and a low skill at doing it.
i paid my dues on my first character, but i took the easy route on my second one. lol. it's definitely worth it for saving the headache.
something i'm worried about is whether there will be a community for this game. in NGS2's Team Missions, only two people were needed to play. i survived for months and months at a time only playing with a small handful of people, and that was fine. the community was very small, but it wasn't as big of a deal as long as you didn't try to find open matches and had a couple people on your friends list to play with.
but this game has what...eight player multiplaye...
the enjoyment, the challenge, an escape from reality, and a way to relax.
i haven't played SS yet, but ALttP is my favorite too.
GTAIV, Skyrim and Portal 2 on a best game ever list? is this a joke?
it's not really hard to get him to consistently do his better attacks for only a small amount of money. also, you can get him to the point where he'll do a free Wakizashi or two right when you summon him if he likes you enough.
for the record, Yojimbo is not only my favorite FFX summon, but he's my favorite one in any Final Fantasy game.
for FFX, my second favorite is between the Magus Sisters and Anima.
yeah, it doesn't really matter that the game becomes unplayable for many people on the PS3 after the save file gets too big.
/sarcasm
seriously, what kind of stupid question is that? what makes it worse is that some people are acting like it's blown out of proportion, that just because they don't have that problem, or their friends don't, well by golly, it must not exist!
i'm not even playing on the PS3. i'm having a n...
lol @ Cloud.
it's definitely not the Ninja Gaiden that Itagaki would have made, but i've been playing Ninja Gaiden since the NES days, so it's still a day one purchase for me.
while the multiplayer maybe have technically been missing, i don't think it was missed. meaning sure, it wasn't there, but i doubt most of the people who played the game cared. i sure as hell don't want to co-op through a Mass Effect experience, because that would ruin what the game is supposed to be for me. if i want to co-op through a Bioware space game, then i'll play The Old Republic.
really looking forward to Mass Effect 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3. i might give Diablo 3 a shot, i haven't played either of the first two. a new Hitman game will be nice. not too sure about Rising yet.
i really don't see Left 4 Dead as a horror game in any sense.
and my first play through of Demon's Souls actually scared me more than any game i've played. lol. i was walking so slow and peeking around every corner, not wanting to get my ass kicked.
this needs to be pinned at the top of the main page so we can stop getting over 9000 "articles" explaining single quests or weapon guides. lol.
keep my cutscenes and gameplay separate, please. QTEs aren't as interactive as developers want to make them seem. usually they're just annoyances that distract me from watching what should be a cool cutscene. of course God of War gets it right with the cool finishing kills (and they perfected it in the third game by putting the buttons on the screen relative to where they are on the controller), but i seriously don't want more games coming out like Heavy Rain where the gameplay co...
this list really needs some Final Fantasy on there. we're talking about Nobuo Uematsu, one of the top video game composers ever. FF4, 6, 7...take your pick.
