Someone probably asked him about it and, since he doesn't want to reveal so much now, he wanted to be "hush hush" about it so that's probably why he said that. I'm pretty sure he's gonna put that in the game. It make sense to since it is a big trend in MP. Plus, Jaffe listens to the fans. If the fans want rank/unlockables, I'm sure he will oblige.
I can't see the main story to this game being any good. This is a "Create-A-Kill" game. It looks like the real objective is to just find new and creative way to kill someone. The main story is probably tacked on. If your into mindless fun than there's nothing wrong with that. People sometimes like to kill and destroy things in game just for fun, no story required. Me, I think it's fun for a couple of seconds and then I just have to ask "What's the point?". ...
Yeah that's gonna suck. CoD is pretty big on Live. It would suck to pay twice to play CoD.
New technology in the entertainment industry always goes through a slow acceptance stage. Nothing new. I think people are more apprehensive about the price of 3D TV's but, even now, some 3D TVs are actually a little of a grand. Once they're on the market for a little bit and drop in price, people will jump on board. The same things happened with flat panel tube TVs, Pro-Jo TVs, and LCD HD TVs. It's coming full circle again and this won't be the last time.

Hey man, Jaffe got us pretty good with his surprise. Props to him for that. I could already see a trend starting. Every dev is gonna start working on their poker (actually, they'll make the "Jaffe") faces and tricking gamers into thinking their not making game we want. It's gonna make me crazy. My heart couldn't take that! lol
A recent article said the Kojima had to push back ZOE because he had other things to work on. Maybe he's pulling a Jaffe and, at TGS, he'll come out in Jehuty. lol
Invisible War is one of the most underrated games in gaming history. I still have my copy. Awesome game.
I don't usually play in this "Fanboy War" nonsense but reading what these 2 said just blows my mind. I don't understand why they wouldn't think paying for something that the other 2 consoles are doing for free is a bad thing. Dead was right about 1 thing, PSN+ is an option so if you don't like it, don't subscribe and use the features given to, including MP, FOR FREE. If you want to play Halo/Gears MP on XBL, you have no choice but to pay. Just outrageous.

With XBL, you either pay to play MP or you don't pay and can't play MP. MP comes standard with most games these days there for it should be free to play. Wow, you guys are hilarious lmao.
