I played this first on Sega CD and bought the PS1 version (still have it). Good to see people remember a classic like this.
Just like the GOW collection, Shenmue 1 and 2 can be remastered and put on bluray. Sales will sky rocket sending a clear sign to Sega to make Shenmue 3. Sony and Sega, make it happen!
I don't understand why M$ is so hellbent on winning over Japan. Sales of 360s are slow at best. When M$ brings an "exclusive" RPG to japan, it sells great for 2 weeks then drops back to close to nothing. M$ should just not bother with Japan anymore. Once FFXIII hits over there on the PS3, that's it. M$ will have no chance at dominating Japan when it comes to games and console sales. Maybe they'll unveil a Halo JRPG since they like creating them for Japanese gamers. They've already got the Halo anime so it wouldn't be so shocking. That'll win M$ Japan for sure! /sar
As much as I would like to believe a next gen twisted metal, it's probably the games will be put up for DL on PSN. Maybe the series will get the bluray treatment like GOW. Can't wait to find out.
I believe someday Sega and Sony could work out a way to port VC2 to the PS3. We could only hope.

I think Kojima's producing skills are phenomonal enough that he can handle multiple projects. I hope that's the case and one of those projects is ZOE3.
I agree with what your saying. Sony and Nintendo are trying to do do the same thing. It's a business thing. The thing is that the PS3 and the Wii are doing considerably better in NA than the 360 is doing in Japan. It sorta makes me really believe it's a culture thing. As for Natal, I don't think that'll do much either. 1, we haven't seen Natal is action like Sony has been showing off the new motion controllers so I'm not going to fall into the hype trap until I see it do what everyone says it...
M$ wants to control all territories. It's just their way. You can't be mad at them for that but it's pretty obvious right about now that the 360 has no place in Japan. The reason why SE deluged the 360 with RPGs was to sell systems in Japan. For a few weeks, they did just that but then sales just dropped back to what they were previously. I don't know what the deal was in why FFXIII won't be coming out for japanese 360s but, even if it did, it wouldn't move as many systems anyway. the PS bran...

That makes a whole lotta sense to me. That's why the PS3 is better in the aspect. You can use any computer hardware companies' laptop hard drives in the PS3. I've got a Samsung 500GB HDD in mine + it's the original 60GB system which means I still have BC making it the perfect PS3. I think it's screwed up M$ is doing this but that just M$ for ya.

I respect Sony's goal but it's going to be a fight. It's all about marketing. If they can market hardware/software, they can pull it off. Either way, Sony will do phenomonally.
You know, I'm wondering what going on with the people so amped about natal. There hasn't been any real demo on it. Sony has already demoed(live)facial recon tech,head tracking, and advanced interactivity with software(EyePet)with the PSEye and demoed (live again) the new motion controllers but people still think natal will "change the gaming industry forever". Ridiculous. By the time natal comes out, Sony will have all this new tech in full swing and natal will go the way of the 360...
For anyone who hasn't pick this game up, please do so. The most under recognized game out there. Now that's $20, it's a steal!
I hope they're PS3 games and not PSN. PSN games are cool but I'd like to see more devs start using the PS3's true power and make some awesome games. Off topic: BTW, did anyone check out the latest PSN update? They just put up Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for download! One of the best RPGs in the history of RPGS!
Dante's Inferno vs GOW will be the new Infamous vs Prototype. I'm just imagining right now some people saying Dante's Inferno is way better than GOW. I shall be prepared to kick them straight in the crouch.
I just don't understand why they would make a PS3 sequel on the PS3. That sucks. I guess I'll just have to buy a PSP then. Obama is right. The 3rd VC better come to the PS3.
I regret never getting to play eternal blue. Oh well, I hope one day Sony will put it up for DL on PSN.
