Agreed. She puts on a worse "one of you guys" act than Major Nelson.
That was the first thing my mind inserted as well...
All I needed was to witness proof of concept. No glasses, Resident Evil looked great, the remade opening level from StarFox64 was cool, and the slider really adjusts it to tailor to the individual's anatomy. Even though Ridge Racer controlled like shit, I'm still onboard day one.
I was a skeptic too, but they demoed VERY well. I still don't like it casually full-bore, but peppered into gameplay could be interesting. I'm excited after seeing them this week.
...SASM, but he was actually a mutation and not a dimensional thing. I'm actually really hoping to see Spider-Carnage and Madame Web in the game.
"I know, but just take... a... look... at this! It's Forrest! HOOOOOO MY GAWD!"
These look conspicuously like renders to me. Everything's too damned shiny, positioned incorrectly, and almost TOO high-res. I won't believe anything involving onLIVE until I see it in action.
... the Uncharted 2 effect? How many of these delayed titles could have just been missing that special "something" in the polish department? I am thinking that a good bit of them will get pushed further- some for timing's sake and some that now find themselves under the bar. MW2 did force software out of 2009, but let's not forget the games that that influence them in other ways as well.
OMG that might be funniest thing I've ever read.
...how everyone is up in arms all of a sudden since the 'dedicated server' story broke- you all should have been downright offended all along since UK pricing was announced! Despite those who scoff at the fact, you cast a vote every Tuesday with each dollar you spend. This project was intended as a money-grab from the beginning or else it would have been Call of Duty 6. WE are the only ones who can teach Activision a financial lesson, and hopefully it would be one in which IW could split out ...
The audio will be posted on Monday evening, but the video is live right now! Check the link for instructions!

Thank you, everyone!
Thanks, ET- I knew I wasn't crazy. What the hell is all of this rumor and circumstance about, then? Is Nintendo maybe attempting to recover some of these mystery assets to hand them off somewhere else, or could White Harvest be N's new suitor?
Weren't most(if not all) of Factor 5's assets transferred to the newly formed White Harvest? Remember the whole litigation thing with unpaid employees? Remember?
...anticlimactic at best, the MP series was all about the journey and being along for the ride. With the original MP being rated in the high 9's in 2002, doesn't superior Wii control add to that score? The argument of time is pertinent, but methinks that the game has held up extremely well. Plus, all three great(2 was shaky) games in a metal case for $50? Who do I hand my wallet to? I know the trilogy will be sucking up a lot of my time.
...get your comments in at the link above for the show.
I think you're right for the most part- Batman IS a great looking game and seems to have all of the components to be successful. I'm just not sure how much of hanging from gargoyles will be a one-trick-pony. Regardless of that fact, it's a MUCH better use of licensed engines and middleware than most out there.
Take your pick... ;)
We talked about this topic from SEGA's perspective in the "Boss Battle" of our show this week. The big point I was making was, now that Nintendo has captured the whimsical trendy gamer, is it time for them to build on that by targeting the hardcore base that they've lost? There's a TON of money to be made on the Wii(I'm looking at you, Carnival Games- yuck!) I just wish Nintendo would market and devs would have some integrity.
My God, man! You got it exactly! Are you really my Evil Twin? You read between the lines that I typed and I don't think that I could sum it up any better. Bluntly stating the focal point of an article does not do the piece due justice.
