I just finished DX:HR and while I'm glad I stuck with it, it has serious shortcomings once taking a few steps back. It's a great first endeavor and it does make me a little more excited for a reworked and tweaked sequel.

The older I get, the less I want to talk to others while gaming. I want intensely narrative experiences and I can't pay attention to story and cutscenes whilst people are talking about stupid shit in my ear. Plus, any game where it's needed, generally, it's implemented. Meh.
See- THIS is what I want from the franchise. OK, Ubi- you got me. Grizzled Ezio has me intrigued, but he's about worn out his welcome. I wanna see things like Egyptian, cold war-era Russian, and American industrial age-type assassins. Alright, maybe not those exactly, but different time periods... please!
I wonder if this one will have the large competitive draw that the fist game had. Of course, XBL was pretty shiny at that point, so it'll be interesting to see.
Actually, I'm leaning more toward games that have mandatory install nowadays. I just resurrected my 80gb MGS4 PS3 from YLOD and will do anything I can to help keep a BD from extraneous spinning and adding extra heat output. I WILL NOT GIVE UP MY SOFTWARE BACKCOMPAT! As consoles become more and more like actual PCs, this will be an unavoidable future anyway.
