I was scared of buying DS at first because all of the previews and hype building before release claimed it was haaaard!
And it is, depending on how you play it. Try to run in and hack & slash, and it's damn near impossible.
But use strategy, cunning, patience, and timing... it becomes extremely manageable, fun, and rewarding
And if that's not enough, you can always summon other players to help yo...

Unfortunately, there are some game saves that are copy protected and cannot be transfered to memory cards
The only way to save them from being lost before your older system dies, is to use the transfer data utility to move all data including copy protected saves to a newer system
This may change though, if what this article says is true.
The article says that it does include copy protected games, but goes on to say that devs can opt out of cloud saving

It's just not used in the States much.
Pick those books up btw. Wheel of Time is amazing through the first 6 or 7 books.

LBP2 is insane
As for ME2, there are a lot of dual console or pc owners out there that already played it. And it still appeared to sell well.
I'm actually a bit behind on games with Sly Collection, Brutal Legend, GoWI & II Collection, Tomb Raider: Underworld, etc just sitting there waiting to be played. So I can't rebuy ME2 yet to see the PS3 changes.
As good as LBP was, LBP2 kills the first game

LBP2 is the type of game journalists should review twice... once at launch and then 5 to 6 months later when the LBP community really begin to exploit all of the new tools and varied game mechanics.

That said, I don't think Sony is just being cheap.
I believe Sony takes most of the money that they could use for advertising and places it right back into game development and lets the results speak for themselves.

You can use it to play Sports Champions and Planet Minigolf, and then jump right over to Time Crisis and RE5:Gold. And soon KZ3 and Socom.
The Move is already proven to be versatile, where as there is still a lot of doubt from 360 owners (including myself) on whether Kinect will deliver with hardcore games
You wouldn't like Wipeout HD of LBP for free?
Or all of the dlc for games like Fallout 3 for free?
Or early entry to AC:Brotherhood, KZ3, LBP2, DC Online betas?
Or for old school gamers, you get PS1 titles for free to play on you PS3's or PSP's.

LAIR only flopped for two reasons...
The devs (or Sony) were too stubborn to give the gaming press and some fans what they wanted...just the option of regular controls instead of forced motion controls.

I really don't want to take a break from saving lives and kicking a$$ to go home and babysit my significant other. I don't know about you guys, but I got annoyed when GTA Niko's girlfriend or buddies would call to hang out.
I can't agree with the Demon's Souls had a bland setting part.
DS is one of those games in which the setting is probably the most important aspect of the game.
This amazing story is told not with tons of dialog or cut-scenes, but through the unsettling scenery and (sometimes lack of) sounds.
It all screams danger! Something really f'd up has happened here! And you better be careful or else your soul will be forfeit
