play the demo. if you don't like the demo all that much but you feel you aren't getting enough of the game to give it a chance, then rent it.
for me, this AAA title will be bought this weekend. i've been looking for a racer like this one.
i especially liked the demo and this is definitely a AAA title. the open world and not being able to start over again without going all the way back to where you came from is a plus. instead of going back and doing that race again, you can instead go and play a different one that's near by. doing this will eventually get you back to that one that you didn't win before.
can't wait to own this one.
Killzone 2 looks hot but it won't bring the same features that Rainbow Six Vegas brings to the table...like terrorist hunts on realistic.
&Resistance 2 needs a graphical overhaul.
yeah dude, the current Rainbow Six Vegas game is fuuucking awesome. i'd buy this game even if it just had better graphics than the first one. that's the only thing i see the current one lacking in. definitely a 1st day purchase, i don't care what reviewers have to say.

i agree with the rest saying that only those who bought the add-on or another HD DVD player would care. those people should be pretty upset with themselves. they bought into it. no one put a gun to their head and made them buy it. should've waited like the rest of us. i might own a PS3 but i didn't buy it for the blu-ray drive in it. same for my 360, bought that for games too.

i'm still on the fence as to whether to buy this for my 360 or PS3. i could care less about downloadable content that i will have to pay for to get. what i do care about is the multiplayer features. my brother owns a 360 so the only plus would be playing online with him. the negative is hearing a loud ass console and it possibly breaking.
i'm sure i'll probably end up with the 360 version anyway. maybe i'll buy that one first, beat it, play with him some on it and then sell it ...

EDIT: i agree with some of you guys ideas though. like getting an achievement that makes your avatar able to wear clothes or accessories representing that game. that would be awesome.

yeah man, calm down. Blu-ray has not OFFICIALLY won the format war, but it basically has. &you know what, i admit XBL is lagtastic, but i play online on it more than the PSN. when i finally buy Warhawk and get some friends to play in UT3 that will likely change.

disagree with you man. when the PS3 gets everything that everyone seems to continue to gripe about, plus more AAA exclusives, i don't think the Burnout series will stray away from it. if anything, it may go exclusive for the PS3.
