...Maybe because this isn't the place/time to be talking about overpriced DLC or season passes...?
Last I checked, the title of the article was in relation to the topic of censorship in Street Fighter V. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't click on that article if I'm looking to talk about season pass pricing...
Good God man, zip up, your bias is hanging out.
I... I was not expecting that.
The way you describe it, he might as well be DarksydePhil.
So many problems with this wonderful game. It lacks content, longevity, and offline play-ability. And the one thing they could've added to fix all of these issues? A more robust Instant Action:
-create playlists of customized game modes with dozens of options: modes can now play out in hundreds of different ways.
-No more sticking to one game mode and getting bored of it. Playlists would automatically cycle you between different modes.
-a...
"The single player can be played offline..."
Okay...
"It is not an offline only game, its a game that a portion of it can be played offline and a part of it can be played online."
Mmhm. I never said it should be offline-only, but I'm reading you so far...
"They are 100% free to do this as....its their game, not yours. They have no ode to just make a feature, because you said so. If that isn't ...
EDMIX, I never said that they promised the whole game would be offline. I said that they DELIVERED on their promise, but that the end-result is disappointing (based on the standards set by other games). I don't think you're actually understanding me. I'm "criticizing" (that's a word that's probably alien to you) the game for how it handled it's offline features.
"lol, "problem"? Buddy...buy another game if you want that so badl...
@EDMIX
MMOs are online-only, EDMIX. There is no offline play in a massively multiplayer ONLINE game. Because it can only be played ONLINE. As in, if you're not ONLINE, you're not playing it at all. Have I explained it enough there? Do you get it?
The new Battlefront is not "online-only". This isn't Destiny or Blacklight. Star Wars Battlefront can be played OFFLINE, and with split-screen to boot.
DICE promised offline pla...
You're so dense it hurts.
"Don't buy games that you don't like the genre of as suppose to begging for the game to be something else. That is like begging for a horror film to be a CGI comedy..."
That's not my argument. In order for that example to apply, the horror film would have to also have CGI comedy in it, with those elements failing to be pushed to their full potential, and thereby hurting the film as a result. Then again, tha...
I agree, not in that it's just a matter of the game having problems, or if that's common for other games, it's a matter of first impressions.
You don't want the people buying the game to get a bad impression or experience, because it makes it less likely that they'll stick around for the DLC, or buy the sequel later. At least, that should be the attitude employed by the company.
Instead, I guess EA must know that gamers will stick around a...
EA person #1: "can the whole game be played offline?"
EA person #2: "no"
EA person #1: "okay, so then can we guarantee that the servers will work?"
EA person #2: "no"
EA person #1: "...then, shouldn't we make the whole game offline-accessible? I mean we already went through the trouble of adding split-screen and bots t-"
EA person #2: "no"
TL:DR
EA is double+ ungood.
Transformers. I know, I heard it as it was coming out of my mouth.
The game was just really good. I'd just love to see them expand on it a bit, perhaps with a stealth/action dynamic (like actually using your vehicle mode to hide while you infiltrate a location). It would basically work like the online multiplayer modes of Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear.
"Ballsy?" really? I'm just waiting for some agenda-pusher to jump onto this so I can drown them with the dozens of examples to prove this has been done before with no issue.
It sounds to me like you found the one backwards-thinking paranoid corporate head who thinks gamers care that much about representation. If I recall, there was a progressive study to try and prove just that... and it had to be manipulated because gamers just didn't seem to care.

Wasn't that statistic proven false? Not in that that many woman aren't "gamers" mind you, but that they aren't necessarily "gaming enthusiasts" (or hardcore gamers). They're casual gamers (whether or not you want to call that a "gamer" at all is beside the point, that's a matter of semantics).
I remember quite a few people talking about this, including the Factual Feminist. Apparently, that data was generalized and pushed by a...
Sounds about right.
Delay? No, gotta get it out in time for Christmas.
Why? no reason...
I personally don't think it would necessarily "ruin" the experience. The problem is the campaign most likely not properly reflecting or utilizing the mechanics and gameplay of the main, advertised experience (ala Halo with its large-scale moments). But with DICE, they have a track-record of campaigns that don't feel like Battlefield, they feel like generic shooter campaigns.
However, if the multiplayer content can be played offline like in the older games, t...
I'm glad for two reasons:
1. Because it's DICE. They have a track-record of singleplayer campaigns that barely reflect the whole point of the advertised experience. If I wanted to repeatedly mash x to stop a guy from slitting my throat in a hallway, or ride shotgun in a jet-on-rails, I'd play any generic corridor shooter, not a DICE game.
2. It's Battlefront, the more emphasis you put on story, characters and intimate moments, the less it beco...
Back then, the game also let you play everything offline, not just a few modes like the new game. You could even customize modes with a wealth of options; it's what keeps me as an offline gamer coming back to multiplayer games like Battlefront and Gears of War.
If I buy this game as an offline gamer and battlefront veteran, I get to play barely half the game without lag, with couch play, without iffy servers, on my own time, and without the worry of EA shutting the server...
The hair does look weird.
Teflon, just because a company says something, doesn't mean they're being truthful (it's called PR spin).
This is indeed an instance of censorship. It may not be the choice of anyone except Capcom, but that doesn't mean it isn't censorship. They suppressed/removed something from the game on the grounds that some may find it offensive. That's called censorship. That's what censorship is.
The comparison that you used with altering a ...
