"...but these has been known since the start of the generation that PC will look better than either PS4 or Xbox One."
Yeah, but now we have an additional reason to invest in PC besides graphics: Xbox exclusives without the Xbox.
"The fact of the matter is this is a smart move by Microsoft. They are covering all their bases."
Yeah, but isn't that because they couldn't compete in the home console space? Why els...
@DragonDDark
Or maybe she was referring to him becoming a Malaysian male stripper?
I'll concede to that easily because I don't care either way, it's such an insignificant detail to hash out because it doesn't excuse the scene that the detail belongs to. That's my real issue here, the scene, the drama itself; it was pointless, and regardless if the details change, the scene's existence remains intact.
It got in th...
"He had lied to her in the past, and for the same reasons."
Exactly, that's my problem, this dummy pulls the same stunt he did in the earlier games without any sense of character growth. There's a limit to that kind of stupidity. I can give it to the man once in UC3 as a callback moment to the previous game, but TWICE? (after she proved him wrong to worry the first time)? That's just bad character development.
And no, it didn't m...
Also, the fact that when Elena asks "if there was ever a Malaysia job" and Nate can't answer... even though he could've very easily answered that YES, there was a Malaysia job (because there was), is just further evidence that Naughty Dog were hard-pressed to give Elena legit reasons to be upset, so they had to retard Nathan Drake for this forced drama to work.
It's easily one of if not THE most horribly handled things in the game's story.
It was forced drama to begin with. Nate just had to tell her the truth and he'd be set. The worst that could happen is that she'd want to come along. BIG DEAL.
Would that be so bad? This isn't the first time Nate went behind her back (to protect her, I guess) and she showed up later anyway to prove how awesome she is. This happened multiple times throughout the series; the first time I can understand, but multiple times after that? It makes Nate look like an idi...
Edmix, proofreading, it's a very important thing.
But more to the actual point: I wouldn't want a female-lead Zelda game if they were just going to treat the character as a platform for a discussion of gender politics instead of creating a great individual character that strives on her own merits. That just replaces one shallow character with another.
Then again, there's a reason why Link is shallow, it's because he's more of a role th...
Here's a fact, the demo had a ghost in it. A ghost that randomly appears and disappears in specific locations. Aside from that, the demo also feature other nonsensical occurrences that hint at a supernatural element.
It's looking very likely that this new Resident Evil is going for a theme of decay, perhaps "decay of the mind", as evidenced by the trailer, gameplay, and the fact that this otherwise normal family in the demo seem to have gone insane, perhap...
@BattleAxe
That's rather assumptive of you, BattleAxe. You know it's not healthy grouping people together into neat little categories and labels: it becomes far too easy to dismiss their points of view, you see.
The reason I never got around to it is because despite all the benefits of PC gaming, I didn't want to go investing in a bunch of different consoles at once, especially considering my lack of disposable income and the fact that I'm...
Exactly!
Why include the Scorpio in that statement? Correct me if I'm wrong but the Scorpio doesn't have any Microsoft exclusives, it shares everything with PC. So, I can just invest in a gaming PC and never have to touch a Scorpio. Even when you're talking about specs and graphics, it's still PC all the way because you have more freedom.
So a better way of putting it would be to have a PS4 for Sony exclusives, NX for nintendo exclusives, and a gaming PC for better-l...
I don't think you have to crap on his earlier success in order to defend him from the conman moniker. I think the reason he messed up so bad was because he, as you said, "tried to do too many things at the same time".
It's like a dog getting loose from its leash for the first time... it's going to abuse its newfound freedom and likely get hit by a car as a result.
Capcom was the leash, Inafune was the dog, and consequence was the car...
I feel your frustration from the eyes of a tech guy, but I have to disagree with the bit about the hacking systems in Watch Dogs 1 and 2. For one, I couldn't care less if it was realistic; keeping the hacking mechanics/design confined to the realm of realism and possibility should not be the point of the game. This isn't a simulation, or at least it doesn't look like it's trying to be (the original sure as heck wasn't), so sacrificing fun for realism wouldn't make sens...
What about X-man and Custer's Revenge was supposed to be "deep and meaningful"? Or the GTA Hot Coffee mod for that matter? All 3 were just porn for the sake of the gimmick.
Nearly half this list seems either forced or highly questionable. Or both.
That's one smexy hellspawn.
Back when it was Pokemon gameboys and pokeballs at Burger King (seriously those were awesome), you would've had more of a point. The pokeballs even had to be recalled due to the infamous case of a child choking on one.
But just looking at video game advertising in general, I just can't agree that parent groups should be outraged over what ADULTS are targeted by in advertising (and how it effects health). When it's KIDS, I can understand because they're young...
Like I said already when they removed something else due to earlier complaints of being offended,
"we don't get to decide for others what does and doesn't "add" to the work, that's up to the artists. For us, it's up to each and every individual to decide for themselves (unless you're a parent, then you look at the rating, dummy).
The point is that we don't--and CANNOT POSSIBLY--know more about this Tracer character than ...
Swiftfox, how is a reference to masturbation going against the "push against the stereotypical norms for [the game's] female characters"? Do you mean the tired 90's idea that female characters are just there to be hot? I could agree with that, but there's more to it here in 2016.
The game exists in a middle ground. It doesn't reduce the female cast down to nothing but fan service, but neither does it block out the idea that they are sexually attracti...
Kinda wondering that myself. How do we go from harassment in online video games... to diversifying the workforce? What does the latter have to do with the former?
One agenda at a time please.
This guy gets it.
A game doesn't have to make you feel like you're on a playground, but you should be enjoying the gameplay. That doesn't automatically mean it has to conflict with the tone and overall design of a game's story though:
Take Dark Souls for example, this is a game that takes you into a morbid and dark universe and has you dying a lot; often times, you'll lose valuable currency as a result if you don't rise to a hefty challenge; you'll feel frustrate...
