I laptop runs on Vista Ultimate. The GUI is cool but the OS is a certified resource hog. Opening new programs will take some time to load. The boot up is also so slow. The UAC is irritating. If you plan to use Vista make sure you have 2GB RAM and your CPU should be at least Core2Duo. I agree with some of the posters that WinXP is still better to use.
I use Yahoo email and messenger. I might move to Google if Yahoo will be under MS.

Toshiba just wanted to cut cost of their failed HDDVD. The retailers should be responsible of informing the customers about a dead format.
I agree with Expy that Wii is not a competitor like 360. The Wii will supplement PS3/360. It's not even HiDef.

I agree with XGamer that this is not a breaking point. The breaking point was the death of the HDDVD.
I believe that the reason for this joint venture is to cut cost and maximize their profits. With their combined technology of hard drives they might build a new one that outperforms the products of the other hard drive companies.
Sure is! There were plenty of news circulating that consumers have started to join the Blu-ray bandwagon. Some who bought their HDDVD players last Xmas have exchanged it for Blu-ray players.
I have both Gears of War and Uncharted Drake's Fortune and to me both games are great.
