Cheats (after I finished the story mode) in GTA San Andreas, literally extended the games lifespan by 30 hours.

Spawning a Hydra in the middle of the Los Vegas strip with pedestrians have guns and riot cheats on = Epic!

@awiseman: Are you saying that because I thought Crackdown 2 was rubbish, that I'am a fanboy? Thats 15 dollars badly spent, you're better off picking up the first 2nd hand for a tenner.

The first crackdown was one of my favorite games this gen.
Crackdown 2 in which i spent $60's on, is the height of lazy mediocrity by a dev. It doesn't improve on the first one in anyway, if anything the first is the better game.

The funny thing is that...

Kinect? This article is about PS Move last time I checked, so why would I mention Kinect? And you got an agree....!

But yes, obviously this applies to any piece of technology including console peripherals, TV's, smartphones.

When you buy anything, your not just buying the materials, you're buying any costs that was associated with its production.

And because you mentioned Kinect, MS will have to sell phenomenal numbers to recoup that...

I loved Fallout 3,

but New Vegas was more of the same.
It bored the pants off me.

The bugs and the dated graphics engine just added fuel to the fire.

Apart from the dialog and the crosshairs, the word I'd use to describe it was, lazy.

And definitely not a contender against SM,GT5,RDR,ME2 ect.

$38 for materials.

What about the money Sony spent on R&D, administration, assembly, shipping and then advertising for the Move?

Then add 21% VAT (or sales tax in the States).
And then factor in the shops(Gamestop's,Amazon) markup.

And then they finally sell it for $99.

Sony isn't ripping off anyone when take everything into account.

The 'Dear Playstation' Uncharted 2 one where the guys girlfriend thinks it's a movie, is pretty good as well.

I'd say the pics were taken using one of those shitty 'spy' cameras, that come in pens and cuff links ect. (probably to remain inconspicuous)

No other modern digital camera produces that bad quality picture quality.

@piesmasher: Haha, I think FlatulentGhost justed proved you wrong. GT3's 7.1 million in America alone, thats damn impressive!

Piesmasher's previous comments are 'the sony fangirls will be tearing through the kleenex and lube over this article...'

'most of sony's 2011 line-up will become sony's 2012 line-up. just look at this past year.

you'll get 2010s games in '11 and 2011's games in '12. that'...

Chamber of Secrets & Prisoner of Azkaban, were quality games......

Azkaban had excellent graphics for its time (on the PS2)

Hmmmm this list is a bit 360 biased. Not one PS3 exclusive on the list or honorable mentions, while every game on the list except Mario is on the Xbox....

How about Demon Souls, Resistance 1 & 2, Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet?

Doesn't GT5 run at 60fps in 3D with day/night cycle, real time weather effects and 16 player online?

I played the shift 2 demo and it can't compare to GT5 in anyway whatsoever, especially in the graphics department.

I read an interview with the GT producer a few months back and he said the g27 and the g25 will be fully supported.

The Move will most likely sell a lot less than the Kinect in the end.

However I have no doubt that the Move will be far more profitable.

When a console peripheral has a advertising budget of 500 million, and that doesn't include the R&D, administration and then the actual mass production costs, it is incredebley difficult to recoup those massive figures, with anything less than colossal sales of the product......

Sonys investment is f...

RussDeBuss got disagrees? GT5 is the reason I bought a PS3 (back in 07....I should have learned from GT4's delayed release...still not complaining though, I would have never been able to play Uncharted and the likes if I hadn't been an early adopter)

Anyway, of course GT5 is the reason a lot of people bought a PS3, it's the Playstation brands highest selling exclusive franchise. Just like the way millions of people bought a 360 to play Halo 3.

If the film is a success, then Sony will want sequels.

Unfortunately Fillion would be at forty when the film releases, while Nathan Drake (in the game) is only in his late 20's....

If Sony are planning ahead with 3 films in mind, then Fillion would be nearing fifty by the third. (Actually now that I checked Marky Mark is nearly 40 as well!)

Ryan Reynolds has star power, and he can act (Buried),
he's a maybe....

Yeah, the only minor graphical fault in UC2 was those damn eyeballs.

Chloe's eyes ,especially, looked as though they were coated in furniture polish.

Also a Celtic vibe (like EA's Undying or Hellboy 2) would be a cool setting for UC3, like Scotland or the west of Ireland, that could tie in with Atlantis in the Atlantic ocean, or maybe a bit of Viking lore set in Scandanavia.

I read an interview with Kazunori Yamauchi a few months back, and he said that GT5 will support all the features on the G27.

So I have just ordered my G27 and I have my GT5 collectors edition booked as well.

Can't friggin wait!

Sony still have made a massive amount of money from the PSP console sales alone. You could also argue that a considerable percentage of 360 hardware sales have been purchased to play pirated games.

And even though 3rd party dev support on the system has dwindled in the past few years. I'm sure Sony will reassure devs for the PSP2 that their new handheld will be as difficult to crack as the PS3, and that they have learned a lot about system protection since 2004. Hell, the...
