He's saying that some people think that high price of consoles is not a issue anymore as we are accustomed to iphone prices and upgrades. Yes kinds weird to see the connection.
The issue is multiplayer games with monetization will always be more attractive to EA as they generate more revenue. Single players games are worthless for them and their investors in the long term.
My friend bought it last month, it is fine for now.

The tiles one became boring after a few months. Slow and cumbersome.
Pro owners will get some enhancements though. I think this is how it should be done.
