Their whole TV function ability will look less appealing if Sony Internet TV launches.
TV? Really? Couldn't you just you know use your actual TV to watch you know TV?
If Sony unleashes it's Internet TV then wouldn't Xbone lose one of its major advantages. Especially with more people cutting the cord every year, wouldn't then Sony actually have the edge?
Yet all the talk about Azure being able to offload tasks and make games better has yet to be unfounded
Smart move, why release it before the PS4 in the West and lose any mind share PS4 has. Japan gets it first because they don't get the PS4 till Feb. Test it out in Japan first then iron out the issues. Get remote-play to work first. They need to make the gaming aspect is solid first because that's pretty much what separates itself from all the other stream boxes. Best time to release this is spring/summer time. If the pieces come together and they can launch there Internet TV services ...
If the remote play works exactly like the way it's been shown with the original Vita then it should work anywhere that has wifi or an Internet connection. The only thing is they will have to patch DS4 connectivity into the Vita TV as it doesn't work out of the box.
Supposedly the on screen mouse pointer would work with the dualshock sticks. I think your suppose to press R3 or L3 to activate the pointers. Not sure if it's true and can't recall where I heard it.
I've said this before but if Sony is really smart and certain pieces fall into place, they should market the Vita TV as a cheap tv-box for their potential Internet TV that can play games. Reduce the price of the Vita TV with a subscription to their services (smart if they would do this with the PS4 as well) . This could essentially be the ultimate cord cutting device outside of a computer. Vita TV could be their ultimate Trojan horse to get more Vita in the wild. The more Vita there are o...
These phone better have holograms so I can ogle at her......
Jackie T is so boss.
I'll want to get both but I don't have the cash so I like my choice of getting a PS4 first. If down the line MS impresses me with something I really need then yes I'll get. Though I can't easily forgive them for what they tried to do. Only game that truly has my attention on XB1 is Titanfall and I'll pick that up on PC.
The sole reason why it's in Japan first is because it's the testing ground. They see if there's a market for it, which already seen like there is. Test out its more basic function outside of remote play and Gaikai. Continue to tinker with the device and improve it for PS4 and Gaikai. When the PS4 releases in Japan see how things work out with PS4 and Vita TV. Improve and iron out some issues. And if demands are high we can probably see it as early as spring 2014.

Hmm, I don't know how to feel about this. Kinda conflicted.......
Did I really see a dog take down a helicopter?
Really Sony has some really good little digital games.
They best localize it and at least make it a Playstation mobile game for every Final Fantasy fan outside Japan they screwed over.
I can't see any reason a Japanese development should make a Xbone exclusive game. At least PS4 has much more global and domestic appeal than Xbone. Unless MS makes it rain cash and we all know they will try then I advice them to stick with multiplat games.
Actually it was designed in and mostly developed in Tokyo, I believe Cerny said that in one of his keynote lectures. Still ps4 isn't a western console it's an international console.
WTF crazy! How are they going to combine two of my most beloved puzzle games is mind boggling! And for Vita, just perfect.
Idk I think Vita TV may outsell Wii U in Japan this year. With pre-orders selling out it may already have.
