This won't happen this soon. You do moves like this to grab whatever customers are left after the winner has been established within the generation. Just like the PSOne and PS2 Slim were released just to get a lot of extra sales and make the device look a lot sexier for people who have finally come around to the Sony side or deciding to just play video games. PS2 Slim made a great amount of money with late releases like FFXII, GT4, Guitar Hero, Gow of War , Bully etc.
Also I kno...
Hahahahaha you know whats funny on the site someone tried to make an argument saying how RE4 was done on the Wii so that makes this possible. Too bad they don't know that a Wii is stronger than a GC and RE4 was done on a PS2 as well so that argument isn't saying much.
Good to raise the GB in the package for the new DS. I know I'm selling one of my Sixaxis controllers and keeping one as a collectors item.
Cool if it's true, but textures can be adjusted with emulators especially for the N64.
I was just playing Perfect Dark a few weeks ago and realized how it's almost impossible to play the game without auto-aim. If it came to the 360 it would be nice to see how dual analogs can really change the game.
They probably lower the actual percentage of failures that they have.
And this is funny because one of my friends who always talks about how his 360 hasn't broken and explaining that there is a method to avoiding the RROD has just gotten the RROD. When will people realize MS has just completely dropped the ball on their hardware.
Although I agree developers need their money and deserve it, hacking a system like a PS2 is a smart move for games that you know are only a one time deal and definitely not worth taking up space in the shelves that hold your games. I think hacking the PS3 will be more used the way the PSP is used for homebrew and older titles.
It would be kind of like the Nintendo Wii's menu except I'm using my hands so it's not "ground breaking" but it is a cool concept. I would definitely use it and show off to my friends who come over.
You know whats funny about these discussions is that Xbox fanboys will point out how the 360 is outselling the PS3 in the US. Than other people explain that if you want to state that fact, also show how the PS3 is doing a lot better than the 360 in other parts of the world. Then we begin to here fanboy nonsense from the 360 fans who find using the arguing methods of a 12 year old to be effective. And it becomes a repetitive battle with very little facts used.
What does that option under RGB Full Range under the Display settings do? It says its for TV's that are compatible with super-white output.
And I've had full RGB on since I got my Sharp Aquos. I just played around with it to see the difference when its off and there is a slight difference. Probably more apparent in an actual game.
I don't see how this is even an issue. The game was a hit on the N64. Why would I want you to play a hit on one of my platforms on your system. Only time things like that are valid is when a company gets bought out or has lost a tremendous amount of their power.
Uncharted on Hard wasn't hard at all. But it was a good challenge. Where it really got good was the last boss fight. But I think a way to truly play a game is to first play it on hard. Best way to experience the game. Check out Half Life 2 on hard compared to normal or easy. Same goes for many other titles.
Wow I'm not going to bother making an intelligent comment about this.
PC gaming is amazing. The sad thing is that it alienates a lot of the less tech savy individuals from enjoying the experience because all of the constant changes to hardware can be very intimidating to some. Thats why games like Diablo, WoW, and CS did well because they weren't so demanding in order for an individual to enjoy the experience.
The sad part is systems like the 360 that are focused on FPS can easily grab sales that would have normally gone to the PC. And it's sad b...
Anyway i hope they let you focus on killing soldiers more without any real penalties. In previous versions the best way to get a better rating after you beat the game and unlock other things was to avoid killing enemies. I also like how the Resident Evil like camera is working well and seems to be improved from MGS3 Subsistence.
Pretty good list. Although some are very minor like the time on the PS3 when most people have the time on their cable or dish box. I would really like the option to input my own avatar for my PSN ID. Only thing I'm waiting for now is the sound option to come with customizable themes since a few themes in Europe actually have this implemented.
Nice news but it just seems weird to see a Nintendo classic on another console. Kind of makes you feel like Rare has sold out completely. Well when your company is a shell of it's former self, anything should be done to just make sure people know you're relevant.
Warner Bros. announcement and EA getting Sega and Atari. The giant continues to grow. And DX 10 coming to XP along with Service Pack 3 coming soon....... wooot! It's a lot of big news coming out and there should be more.
If they charge a decent price and I'm allowed to download all I want that would be a good plan.
Putting in the HDD is as easy as it was for the PS2. I love how Sony gives options on what to do for your system.
Oh and Neogeo it's a nice HDD but I wouldn't know if the speed would actually change the performance of the PS3.
Yeah haha this really isn't anything news worthy. What I would like to see is the ratio in Europe. You figure sales will be good on both consoles but will people choose familiarity with the Sony brand or branch off to the 360.
Oh yeah F**K the Patriots. I live in Jersey and everyone is going crazy. And even though I'm a Broncos fan, I hate the Patriots so much that I was wildin out when they won.
