GR knows how to get that click fire :-D
Disagree. I do miss the monster, 'pokemon-style' combat from the first, but the different fighting methods available in combat WITH the newly launched increased difficulty options brings an active combat system with available diversity. You can just hack and slash and dodge, you can level up your higgledies and focus on them, you can bounce between teammates and pair their magic, or you can actively do all.
If you just piss and moan that it's not the first one,...
These are crap. They dont have rumble, missing buttons, and cant be used wirelessly.
Just make them $40, folks, and the people that really love d-pads will pay for it.
I really really love this game, and this series.
It's one of those games that just keeps unfolding with new and interesting mechanics and discoveries as you play and get familiar. Combat is a joy.
this is awesome.
It's funny to me how many people commenting here have no sympathy or understanding of this article and are either blaming him, telling him to go get mental help, or criticizing that he's not a gamer.
I love trophy hunting, and yeah I think about it a bunch when it comes to the new titles I play. Optimized routes, efficiency so I am not replaying games 10 times... It's like another layer of challenge of top of the gameplay and mechanics the designers and develope...
This is a great write up. Now I have so many feels for this man. I love his passion.
Super cool. Good find!
It's like watching a trailer to a game, or seeing something out of context early. It's this fun and fleeting feeling right now that we should all enjoy: seeing something that is bizarre and meaningless and leads to total speculation, but in a short while, we will revisit it and it will have an entirely new and complete meaning.
At least I hope. I hope this plays into DS in some fantastic cross-media way.
...
I hate this article. This POS is only getting clicks so we can all bitch about how presumptuously stupid this headline is.
i'd say it's a stretch to say that Perrier=Paris Games Week....
...Though, if DS is absent from E3, then I'll 100% believe this was meant as exactly that and is his way of saying something now, before the E3 fervor starts.
Bless you for mentioning Legend of Dragoon.
I love that game
I'll be honest though, I do not believe a sequel will ever do the original justice. I dont even think they could make a compelling remake of it. It was perfect for the time though.
I guess I thought this was going to be 7 real ways people had been kicked out of a GS in the past,
....not some absurd list of 7 random things one could theoretically do to cause trouble. Foolish me.
thank you!
Nice, Good little easter egg.
This is a really well documented write up by someone who has thoroughly digested the through-line of the MGS series. While the social future prophecies are of note, I was most interested in their play by play of how each phase of the Patriots evolution correlated with actual items in current culture.
Damn, this is super awesome.
Well, I'll consider July 17th the launch date then and put it on my horizon to finally pick up when "released" ^_^
I'm not a big xbox person, but this is pretty awesome. Good plan to touchbase with the community, and start appearing more in touch, rather than listening from behind a closed door.
Genuinely hope this develops into something I feel i need to tune into each episode for.
This is the most in depth review I have ever watched, and I SERIOUSLY appreciate it. It's incredible! Thank you for the time, effort, comparative shots and detailed clips to convey every point. You are setting a new bar on what I expect from my reviewers.
You've got a new fan. Very well done.
I think what G20 means to say is that the game is hard to put a time stamp on since it lends itself so well to exploring, pausing, stopping, reflecting, etc. (but none of that is actually necessary to do, you can just as easily breeze through the whole thing with an objective-driven end goal approach).
All said and done, the original game had between 10-20 bosses (i'm being intentionally vague to keep the game fresh for you) and could be beaten in 10-15 hours. Some peop...
Wow!
Hmm, the devs obviously know their market and have done their analytics. Obviously they wouldn't have put resources into this if it wasn't a worthwhile return. I'd love to see an interview with them about this and hear about the numbers that make it feasible (Audience size, # of physical copies printed, expected return, last years #'s, etc.). It's likely either a super easy conversion to downscale/license/publish it, or a legacy contract they're...
