Actually, the best thing Sony could do would be to offer the console (lets call it PS4 for sake) for X amount, and then also offer a Vita bundle for X+150 or 200.

They announced 20 characters at launch- they didn't say that you couldn't just unlock additional ones in-game.
I'm sure there will be DLC characters too, but I'm also sure you they didn't play all their cards before the title even came out. Lets just have some patience.

When I watched it live, you could clearly see he messed up taking that first guy out unnoticed and changed his approach on the fly. That was definitely not how they planned it.
What WAS Scripted was that the final kill would be the bullet to the brain followed by the cut to the Title, however this was forgivable seeing as how it probably explained to the stage player as,
" Hey, play however you want, just end with kill...
You could, but think of the manhours that took to make. He (she?)'d have the sell them at like 200 a pop, and even that would be made to an exact tank size specification. Given that every person has a different tank, the headache alone of resizing the design to each individual's tank is not worth the effort....
I may end up doing this though. I need a new project. Zelda, mayhaps?

I can't imagine this would be fake, but it doesn't confirm anything about his playability. Rockstar has absolutely been exploring more with incorporating characters crossing niche groups. I see Niko more as a cameo on his current where-abouts.
Niko was great In my opinion. He was real. It made GTA4 incredibly relatable.
