With the amount of anti-console diatribe and pc elitists BS he spewed in that article I really couldn't care less if he brought it to consoles. And to be honest, he just convinced me to not get it for my pc either.
The fact that they even need to say this is seriously freaking disturbing. These devs, and I think I need to include insomniac here also, should not have to be defending their decisions to anyone. They are third party studios for Christ sake. It's not like we're talking about naughty dog or turn 10 here. I can quicker understand the anger for insomniac (even though it is still unjustified) because ps only console gamers will never be able to play sunset overdrive, but xbox only gamers...
I disagree with this article. These consoles are new, they need time for Christ sake. The new ip's are coming we just need to give the devs time to develop them. If you want people to buy the new systems from the get go then release games that you know they want, games that are already established, games that you know are system sellers, then once the systems are in peoples hands you can take the risk with new ip's.

Just so you know, Ken Kutaragi and Mark Cerny did collaborate on the ps3. Mark Cerney wanted to make it easy to develop for. He told ken about having a low "time to triangle", a term he invented. Basically that meant a very short time to create games. Ken told him he didn't want to hear anything about triangles and thus the ps3 was born. The ps3, the system that almost destroyed the playstation brand. You sit and think about that for a moment.
Thank you. Great post. I appreciate what he did in making the ps a household name but his time is up. His mentality is not in the best interest of the gaming industry and not because I am a sony fan means I will support bad decisions or anyone from sony who is not seeking the interest of the gaming public.

Sorry but you are flat out wrong. There is documented proof of everything I stated in my post, you are just going on a personal opinion. I never stated anything about low ram issues, and it has been stated by numerous people including mark cerny himself that it was done deliberately to force devs to focus on them.

Basically what i gather this article is saying in a nutshell is that with sony dominating this gen it may finally put an end to all the BS moneyhatting and unethical gaming practices that microsoft began years ago. Your comment about sony leading the industry being best for gaming is spot on.

You do know that based on your logic, if sony were to start using sold to retailers numbers that they would have an even bigger lead on the xbox one and it would literally make the xbox's presence in the market seem irrelevant right?
The proof is if you have been following vgchartz for the past couple years you would see that practically every single month they adjust their figures, which 99% of the times has ms overtracked and sony undertracked, to line up with the NPD results. This is not a secret, this has been going on for years. If you want proof then you can just start taking notes yourself for the next four months.
