Consoles are NOT holding back technical advancement. The reality is that most pc gamers do not have machines that can run games at 4k. If devs were to make 4k the standard for games then they would be catering to a very small audience.

Exactly. They really don't need to push 4k on consoles, all they need to do is max the graphics and get framerates to a locked 60. Imagine an open world game like fallout with the graphics of The Order. Would anyone really care if it was 4k or not?

Naughty dog said they currently have it running over 30fps but they will put gameplay first. If while trying to get it at 6ofps they see that it is affecting the gameplay then they will make a decision to lock it at 30. No one from naughty dog ever said that it is definitely 30fps.

How does Freedom wars, soul sacrifice, tearaway, monster hunter and Bravely Default play on your tablet? Seeing that it has the best chip on the market the graphics must be mind blowing.
I'm all for switching to mobile, as long as it'll give me ps5 or ps6 graphics, 1080p/60-120fps while connected to my 60" uhdtv, has a place to insert a 100GB bluray disc (because....well...screw digital) and can accept connection with full capabilities to a ds5. As long as they can give me that, GO MOBILE.
It doesn't look last gen but at the same time it doesn't look current gen, however the game play looks very interesting to me. I think this would be crazy fun to play online. This may be a day one purchase for me.

Tomb raider is not an exclusive. Microsoft deciding to release all their exclusives in the last 3 months of the year is in no way an indication that sony's sword is starting to dull when a blind mouse can see that they are releasing exclusives throughout the entire year, so cut the crap.

I think it will. This gen probably marks the beginning of a standard set of hardware for consoles. It won't be like in the ps2 or ps3 era where hardware design was out of the ordinary. The ps5 and xbox two will probably be designed almost identical to the ps4 and xbox one but with higher specs. if they do that then games will definitely be backwards compatible.
