That has to be one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever seen on N4G.
These were really good games for their time but they are seriously unnecessary remasters. I have no idea why they would do this. I enjoyed playing these games when they came out but let's not fool ourselves, these were not popular or impactful enough to warrant remastering. This will not sell well. For people who never played them I would say they MAY be worth a purchase if the price is good.
I don't get it. Is this the first and only game to ever be funded on kickstarter? I have seen people give money to no name developers on kickstarter who took their money and disappeared into the moon light and the bloody media barely batted an eye at those issues. Now we have a game we've been waiting over 15 years for by a well established and respected dev and the doubt and FUD and hate that is being spewed by the media is staggering. What the hell? Am I trapped in the twilight zone...

Out of the 44 games the first page alone shows three that are not indies, jstar victory vs, planetside 2 and until dawn. So basically the first page alone proves that both you and your comment are full of crap hence the reason I am going to mark you for trolling.
Yes they did it on early ps3 models, and in order to do it they had to build a ps2 into the ps3 which sent up the price of the ps3 to $600. Then people like you criticized and bashed sony for selling the system for too much money even though they were giving us what we wanted.

I have no idea why some people just can't get it through their thick, metal shielded skulls that you cannot get full backward compatibility with the ps4 and the ps3 without additional hardware. The cell processor in the ps3 was completely new and unique technology.
There are ps3 emulators out there for pc's and they all have very limited functionality and compatibility with games. This does not make sense to try to do with the ps4 as the experience would be limited an...

It's being made for the ps4 and pc. Hence it is a console exclusive to sony, which means it is linked to sony.
