well, you already know why it was delayed, don't you? ;)
Well, according to the development team:
"The actual Siggraph demo was rendered with real-time path tracing at 1280x720 resolution at 60 fps and was running in OTOY's cloud with post processing. (My local system is not capable of video capturing and rendering with Brigade at 720p, so I had to turn down the resolution to get an acceptable framerate, the video is also using pretty ancient Brigade code, without the dynamic optimizations)."
So no, t...
Just to be clear, they are removing the automatic speed mode that was introduced in Crysis 2 and ruined everything. My guess is that there will be a separate speed mode (or no speed mode at all). About the cloak mode, this mode is forced in the Hunter MP mode (the Hunters are always cloaked and that's the purpose of the game). In SP and in other modes the nanosuit will most probably fuction the same way it did in previous games (meaning that if you shoot while in stealth mode, you'll ...
Stealth mode depends on how much you're moving. If you're sprinting (and you are in stealth mode) your energy will drain quicker. This won't change. They're changing the auto-speed mode that was enabled when you were sprinting without selecting a mode.
that was how the first Crysis game was. My guess is that they enabled automatic speed mode due to consolitus (I hate that word but I can't see why they decided to scrap Crysis controls).
Ironically, ArmA 2's sales were boosted by a simple mod. Imagine what we'd get if we had modding tools in more games today. I mean, look at the Quake/Quake 2 mods and total conversions. Man, I so miss Aliens Quake :/
Releasing mod tools is not the same with releasing the source code. DICE should be more honest with its fanbase
The thing is that we already got a lot of hackers with aimbots and such things. Can't see how the mod tools would make things worse, especially when DICE is introducing new glitches with their own patches :P
and the good thing is that pCars is still in alpha/beta stage
vote with your wallet and support indie teams. At least that's what will make those triple-A companies change their attitude
The downside of LOD 1 was its inconsistent framerate. Here is hoping that the PC version of LOD 2 won't be a 'Dark Souls' port.
yeap. id Tech 4 still has a lot of potential. Especially for an aliens game in a spaceship
If we get free to play games looking like Crysis 3, then I won't mind this move. And after Command & Conquer going F2P (and powered by Frostbite 2), I expect to see more triple-A quality games as F2P titles
oh yeah. Looking forward to it
Yeap. The first one is currently my wallpaper :D
a quad-core at 2.4Ghz is faster than a dual-core at 3.0Ghz ;)
obviously this is not a real indication of the FPS. Lots of times my shots from FRAPS have a 2fps indication due to caching when taking the shot
The master-mind behind ENBSeries is Boris Vorontsov. He is the one creating the ENBSeries mods. However, every player can play with the settings and adjust them to their personal taste. For example, iCEnhancer mod is based on the ENBSeries mod for GTA IV (and Skyrim) but with 'icelaglace' personal settings. Here is the homepage for all ENBSeries mods:

Damn. Looking good
Same here. Can't wait for Dishonored :D
