The culprit in AC3 is the environmental detail that hits the CPU instead of the GPU. The game needs a patch and not a new driver set
Teaser. Full trailer coming in News Year day
Same here. Looks really interesting
1080p (as Orpheus said) and was running at 60fps
The best thing is that the entire city was tessellated and there weren't any LOD settings. Tessellation was used for LOD, and that's why there wasn't any noticeable pop-ups.
spam enough? By your logic, Neogaf has already stolen everything they have there.
@NYC_Gamer: exclusivity deals with AMD I guess (damn added a comment instead of replying)
if you're using an Nvidia card, upgrade to 310.70. They fixed the stuttering with these drivers
sounds awesome, though not plausible. IMO, Bethesda might consider such things for the next Elder Scrolls installment
yeap. There are definitely a lot of games that can be considered as art. Another example is Limbo, or the first Alice game (although this more dark-ish than what people may consider as art).
It's ironic, but you failed to realize that when the GTX295 is used at 98%, the game runs with 70s-80s. You also failed to realize that Hitman: Absolution is CPU-bound and not GPU-bound. How are YOU a PC gamer and cannot even do basic things as reading is beyond me. You even failed to read what happens with all options at their lowest settings. You even failed to realize that the CPU handles graphical features (which is a typical thing for mere console ports, due to consoles featuring mor...
And that's precisely why we were not getting any pre-launch gameplay videos for it, lol
there is a subtle mouse acceleration side-effect, though controls feel a bit better than the previous AC games
Take a closer look at SLI scaling. When the game under-performs, the GTX295 is used at only 55%. When used at full, the game runs with 70fps, Like it or not, a better GPU would not make a difference. Also, relying on better CPU architectures because the game is unable to take advantage of multi-cores proves how un-optimized this game is.
Awesome
AI is not allowed in both SP and MP maps that get released via the Level Editor (or that's the word for the time being. Might change until it gets out). This means that if you're a mapper, you can experiment with the AI but you are not allowed to release the map with AI enabled.
yeap, definitely good news about FOV. Though it would be better if Treyarch offered a FOV slider
R* said that they're focused on the console versions and that all other possible versions are up for consideration
Can't wait till YT allows 60fps footage
indeed. It's amazing what they can achieve
