Thanks for that. No, really.
Agreed.
I always think of it like a less snobby version of the film world. Yeah, there are top tier, Hollywood titles that everyone and their brother wants to go see. There are chick flicks for the casuals, too.
But then there's the art-house stuff, the JRPGs and the overly complex shooters...
Adding more fans of the genre will only work towards diversifying the type/amount of content out there. And, like you said, force the medium out...
The free-hand play looks amazing.
Need this game like yesterday.
Pretty sure MadWorld didn't pull in the sales Sega wanted.
Shit yes. That game was gorgeous, engaging and addictive.
God, what a great game.
Agreed.
And the writer points something interesting out too... Nintendo just raised the bar for themselves. Galaxy 2 was incredible, here's hoping they consistently achieve this new standard with all of their already strong first party outings.
I completely forgot about that holographic patent... think that applies to this system?
It has GOT to be Sharp, you're absolutely right. I'm more so glad that the hands-on from Akihabara showed a little love. Ghosting can be a pain, but the fact that it's bright and sharp means a lot.
Maybe it was a pun. Kirai does mean "hate" in Japanese.
Solid suggestions. I'll assume anything made in light of the upcoming flick is on par with Superman 64 until I hear otherwise...
Performance will be a huge factor, you're absolutely right.
If they released a Blu-Ray collection of Final Fantasy games, they'd absolutely kill. Diehard fans would go nuts for retouched graphics and trophy support.
Seems like an obvious decision now that the GoW Collection is out of the gates.
Is Metacritic the only thing that matters? That's just dumb.
"What happens when more and more just stop making games for PS3 because it is such a pain, takes longer, and costs more."
I don't think that'll become an issue. The PS3 has a developing audience. No reason for devs to give up and walk away. If they're giving up on the console because of the cost and effort required to make games then, well, who wants them anyways?
Nothing's worse than a lazy dev in the gaming industry, yeah?
I talked to a dev for Ghostbusters in an interview I did for Kombo.com who said, basically, the same thing. His quote:
"...if we could get it running great on the PS3 then everything else was easy."
Not really a bad thing at all. The PS3 just has tougher coding work, simple as that. Programmers will learn how to work with it, and, that's that.
Hell, isn't it sort of a good thing for Sony fans that the PS3 becomes the standard for coding? I ...
I'm really looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say about this game. Can't wait to give it a go myself. Hope it moves a crap ton of consoles too.
Money well spent by MS. Wonder how many units 13 will move in Japan...
Completely forgot about that movie. Amazing use of the Power Glove.
I will say, I really hated the games that you could play with that thing. To each his own, obviously. The Power Glove was the father of the Wii. You think about THAT.
Oh, and I remember Captain N too. Way better than The Wizard.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaah. &qu...
woops. my bad.
Great read... Thank you.
I'll agree with that notion.
My god, remember the copious piles of shovelware on that system? Yeesh.
