Price points for games and content have got to be the largest drive for this growth. I've been thinking that some XBLA titles have been overpriced as of late. 1200 point entries should have launched for 800.

Being frank... digital distribution is garbage for full retail games. I get it, pubs want to save money by pushing digital copies. But I'm a collector at heart. And getting digital versions of games that should be in full cases is a bit of a bummer.
Part of collecting as a hobby is standing back and enjoying the quantity of goods. How can you do that digitally?
It's fine for smaller, indy arcade type titles. flOwer, Braid, Castle Crashers, etc. ...
