I guess that really depends on how you played the game. As I played thru I did a good mix of stuff outside the main stoty missions and it didn't seem like much of a chore to complete the side missions. I suppose if I would have played focused on story and had a bunch of side stuff left over I probably would feel differently, but as this isn't my first rodeo in the Arkham Universe I had a plan from the get go.

I may be late to the party on this review, but if I could just add my 2 cents on the boss battle issue with this game. if you reflect back on all of the Arkham (rocksteady) series. None of the games really had much in the way of stand out boss battles with exception on MR. Freeze in my opion. The Bane boss battle in Arkham City is a prime example of what I am talking about.
local minority I would say (besides pissed off PC players , and rightfully so). if you have played and enjoyed arkham asylum & or arkham city you should for the most part really enjoy arkham knight.

I realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but man you guys have to start enjoying stuff. Life is short, and time becomes more and more limited for gaming, so just play and enjoy.
The game is solid. I wouldn't call it perfect, but I have enjoyed my time in the Arkham Universe very much so. 8.5/10 for me.
I think that was exactly the point by this game. He is just pissed, and also why the game ends the way it does.

I play video games, and a lot of them. The term "Gamer" is becoming synonymous with everything you just described. With so much of that this generation, I am beginning to think that no one plays for fun anymore.
It's the Top Chef/Ink Master generation where everyone and their mother loves to nitpick everything to death.

As a fan of B horror and games like Heavy Rain this is really right up my alley. I will definitely be grabbing a copy. I don't think this will be a mass appeal game, but I think I am in their target demographic.

just picked this up for 10.49 from CDK. It will be good to revisit the Last of Us world again. Now just the long wait til the download and install is complete.
seems about 2 points low to me, but then again if this is a PC review of that game I have know knowledge of the bugs and glitches a player may encounter on that platform.
@wit don't buy it. vote with your wallet. I'm not buying the dlc because unless it is a reasonable size/time addition to the story I don't give a damn. Costumes and skins are pointless to me and I never use them. Maybe if more people weren't blind consumers gobbling up every thing they can get their hands on publishers wouldn't see the dollar signs.

@septic apparently you didn't play that last Transformers game. I played thru one hallow level and never looked back. Sad that a family member wasted money on that game as a gift for me.

I will probably pick it up but not at full retail price at release. It's the same thing I did for the last Tomb Raider game came out.
