True enough, about people using them for other forms of entertainment, but that is and should always be SECONDARY a sideline feature, but not anything it should be graded on. I didn't buy my PS3 to play blu-rays or stream netflix, just as I didn't buy my PS2 for a dvd player. I got them for the games. That's it. Everything else is a bonus, and at the end of the day they are GAME consoles.

I was trying to understand if this is just for PC direct download or will orgin.com ship out hard copys of the game aswell
4hrs and 40mins of play time is enough to get you from the east coast to the west in the US. Yeah, your not going to make it from LA to paris with one charge, but for most it will do. Some planes now have plugs that you can charge devices on, or if you have a layover on a crazy flight to Japan grab a wall socket. No biggie.

True enough, but as for me I spend a lot of time at work hours wise, but am not always working. So for people like me that are at work but on down time could get an extra hour or two in a game while at work it makes sense. That's how I used my PSP, and how I will use my Vita aswell, but with the bonus on getting trophies while on the job.
Its bound to happen. Heck, you might hold out on a special edition bundle of a game you like and 2months later it gets announced that a game you LOVE is getting a special edition bundle. Happened to me many times with the psp, and I'm still mad about not getting the God of War red and black psp.
2009 was the start of this whole global $$$ crisis, if we ever pull out of it I think 2009 numbers would be possible. Yeah the tablet and cell markets might be part of the down numbers, but I have yet to play a game on a phone that has had the feel of playing on a dedicated gaming device. I doubt I ever will, cell phone games are for passing time while you are standing in line at the D.M.V.
I'm sure by 2014 Vita will have had a price drop, and attractively priced bundles.
Oh and by the way, many many parents "shelled out" for the DS and 3DS so why wouldn't they for Vita. Hell my Brothers daughter had a 32Gb Ipod touch when she was 8, and that costs about the same as Vita does now

Apple fanbois don't make as much as a peep about paid top dollar for apple products. Our shop helper at work paid 500$ for her phone, and then had to pay 500$ more to AT&T because she had no credit. I bought cars for less than what she paid out for her phone and service. Hahaha silly
