Here is my 2cents worth on the subject. Sony has learned a lot about its regional strong points and its weak during this gen. So Sony is trying a different plan of attack. Get the US (their weakest region) and the EU (strong region) on board, and Japan will get on board when games are released that are geared towards Japan's taste. While it may be true for the masses "the less popular game will be over looked" but to the core gamer (whom often reads video game news) will know what's up. We are the forefront for spreading the word on the lesser known games, we tell our COD loving friends that there are other great games out there. So to me its very much a positive thing to have many launch games. Because Uncharted isn't the only game I'm going to buy day one. Come on Feb.15th!

I'm getting the first edition bundle. Exclusive case, which is quite good, a game, memory card, and to get my filthy paws on Vita a week early is the biggest selling point for the 1st edition bundle. I had the wifi version preordered, and then switched. I can't wait til 2/15. The 3G is much of an issue and you are not locked into a contract. That was my main concern with the 3G.
Black was awesome. Why nothing more was done with that IP I don't understand.
The 1st edition bundle is ranked higher than the stand alone 3G version, but not higher than the Wifi on Amazon.

People are always saying that the memory cards are tooo much $$$$$
But a quick look at amazon shows the even the scandisk versions of the pro duo are NOT much less than this new memory format, and the Sony versions are just about the same price. People just love to bitch and moan.

Come on man, that kind of thing has been going on forever. You must be new to gaming, because I remember having to buy a memory card for the PS2, and maybe the PS1 to save games. Its not that big of a deal. Yes an internal hard drive would have been nice, but then you would be complaining about its 300$ price tag instead of 250$.

Iphone/pad/pod games are time killers. Cheap, shallow, and sometimes entertaining time killers, but nothing more. Gamers are looking for deep, rich games that we can sink out teeth into. Not cutting up fruit shot out of a Tshirt cannon.
