I think its a limitation of the video player. Other sites with the same player have the same resolution. The content it good though.

Its definitely a very feasible theory, perhaps not the upcomming generation bbut I think definitely the following one.
You make a lot of good points. And while i don't want this to come off as an anti-sony statement (which it isn't) but look at things from a business stand point. How did last generation end for handhelds? The DS as a platform outsold the PSP as a platform almost 7:1, now if I'm a publisher (who already thinks phone gaming is the future), if I'm going to go out of my way to make titles for a handheld, which one would it be?

The only thing is that apple has so much market share and so many 3rd party developer support that it's scary.
Hopefully it gets a robust community its the only way it can compete with any major FPS.
Come January 27th Sont better go big with the PSP2.. that's all I'm saying.

I just hope that developers don't go out of their way of forcing the 3D. Like if the game doesn't necessarily need the featured it should be there.
Just look at the cash grab going on in Hollywood where it's being tacked on to movies that aren't even recorded in the format.
